Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Portable Set 'n Forget Probe Slow Cooker

I received this as a Christmas gift about 5 years ago and love it. I bought a friend one for Christmas because she wanted a new crock pot and loved mine. This past year i bought this for my daughter and she loves that it comes apart to clean and liners fit it very well. It cooks great and it fits larger roasts better than others i have had previously.

Purchased the 5 qt 4 years ago and now upgraded to the 6 qt and will put the 5 qt in the RV. We also purchased 3 others for gifts. The probe cooks the dish to perfection. The only negative thing about this cooker is the LED display, it is very hard to see. Would like it a little more brighter.

I'm thrilled with my new slow cooker. After waiting all these years to decide to buy one I wasn't sure I would like cooking in a slow cooker. But when I received my new Hamilton Beach 6 qt programable slow cooker, I couldn't wait to try it out and I'm surprised at just how much I enjoy cooking in it. The quality and the features on this slow cooker are perfect. I couldn't wish for more and to learn that it's covered by a 5 year guarantee above the quality and the low cost it's just unbelievable. I'm still wondering if Walmart didn't make a mistake on the price. I can't get over what a good buy it was. I'm loving it and also loving Hamilton Beach who offers five-year guarantees to Canadians!!

Overall, this is a great product and comes with a great price. My only problem is that the information said that it was programmable 3 ways. I thought this meant that I could also set a temperature, like an oven, and set the cook time. The crockpot actually only cooks on high and low; with the option of programming a time. However, I have recommended this product to everyone I know. I am very happy with it.

Love it! Probe cooking is one of the best features on this. This exact model is much better than the newer model. The handles are larger, it has the spoon and holder, the clamps are a better design and it cooks very evenly. It has been highly rated all over the internet and Jet has the absolute best price on it. The best slow cooker out there. One feature I have been looking for is a delayed start. I have never seen a slow cooker with a delayed start and suspect this has something to do with manufacturers concern re uncooked food (including meat) sitting in the slow cooker for hours at room temperature waiting to start. A scheduled off time doesn't work for some foods like roasts because the slow cooker is acting like an oven (all be it with a lot of moisture) and continues to cook even after it has switched to "keep warm" which results in an overcooked roast. Despite the complaint I love this slow cooker.

This is an excellent slow cooker. The digital display is very nice. The beep noise is a bit loud but doesn't bother me much. It doesn't last long lol It's good for the money and was shipped out fast. The probe is a nice feature and even comes with a spoon! It's a bit hard to close for travel, have to play with it a bit but personally I won't be travelling with it so its good for me! Overall I do love it and am happy with my purchase!

This slow cooker has made my life a lot easier. It is so easy to use and cooks food to perfection. Having the option of three cooking modes definitely adds to the ability to cook many types of meals. So far I love this appliance.

Nice family size slow cooker. The lid's a little difficult to keep centered over the gasket while locking the lid. The lid wants to slide to one side or the other.
