Love this machine. The recipes in the book that comes with it are ok, but I have found better ones online. You do need to make sure your dough is the right consistency by adding a few drops of water or flour depending. Dough should be nice and elastic, not too wet, not too dry. I find all purpose flour works just fine. As does normal quick rise yeast. I do find that I like just making a bread dough in it then baking it in the oven. The machine bakes bread just fine but I just like to bake it better. Experiment with different recipes to find the bread you like best. We've made pizza dough and a bake in the oven Italian bread that is real good as well. Haven't tried more things yet but I will. It is a good machine and works great.
Similar to the "bread man" that I had and used for years. Better quality paddle simaler settings. Some people complained that it was noisy. It may be slightly louder than my bread man was, it was noisy also. its light enough and small enough that you could put it I another room and close the door if it bothered you. The next step up from this machine was 200 dollars more. I think it was a good value and I would buy/recommend it to anyone looking for a bread maker.
Good machine. Biggest initial problem was how to remove and reinstall the bread pan, which has to be twisted to left to remove and twisted to right to lock back into place. Manual fails to explain this simple matter.
I purchased this for my wife and she loves it! She says it is easy to use and works as advertised. Many loaves of bread, good bread, coming out of our kitchen now and of assorted sizes with beautiful crusts. Happy Wife, Happy Life!!!
We love this bread maker! It is easy to use and quiet. It does move on the countertop a little. But we put a towel behind it and a couple of heavy books in front of it and it is fine. We have made 2 different kinds of bread and both turned out great!. Love the smell when the bread is baking. This does not take up much space on the counter either. But it you will love it! Nothing like fresh baked bread!
Like a lil oven making cute loaves, several sizes and styles. Make pizza dough! Breadstick dough! Makes loaves of bread too! Fun to operate , even for a 60 something cold warrior. Sit back and have a piece of french toast!!! I used organic syrup, amazing quality!
I bought this model, 29877, after my old bread machine kicked the bucket. It is lighter in weight. Two issues I have: 1. It is difficult to read the screen without it being backlit. 2. For some reason, and the manual does not give any answer, on the dough setting, about 2 minutes in, there is a very loud series of inconsistent beeps!!!! It is NOT the beeps that occur to add ingredients, which happens later on in the cycle. I can find nothing that addresses these strange beeps and because of Covid, you can't speak to any customer rep for tech support!
After running the bread maker through a cycle to burn off any coating I could not get it to clear the timer and cycle setting. The control panel would not function. There was nothing in the directions or troubleshooting section to address this. I quickly asked for a refund assuming that the unit was malfunctioning. Apparently, but I'm not sure because it isn't mentioned anywhere, it will reset. I still don't know the detail. An important detail.
Worked about 6 times, then started to make rumbling noises, won't raise the bread, and doesn't bake it straight through. It's expensive to invest so much for just loaves of bread you can buy for a buck, so when this stopped working, I was shocked and saddened because it worked wonderfully at first. The unfortunate part is, if you don't use it constantly, you won't know it will stop working until after the return period has ended, so if you do buy this, get the replacement coverage. You'll need it.
I was sorry, but I had to return breadmaker. Machine would not knead dough, just clicked and could not move. I went over everything and tried it over several times, but still locked up. However, I did order another one and hopefully it will be in good shape. I am looking forward to using it.
