For a first time ice cream maker, this machine was simple to use,made a very good product and am looking forward to using it again with our grandchildren . I jusk know they will love the experience too.

We wore out the first ice cream maker that we'd had for years. Then we bought one of the cutesie makers in the Walmart store that the bottom looked like an ice cream cone. It was so flimsy that the motor would pop out of the bucket latches every few minutes. For that reason, we only used it twice. So I went on the hunt at Walmart.com for a maker like our old one with the thick, sturdy bucket. This one by Hamilton Beach had great reviews, so I tried it. YES! Very heavy duty ice cream maker that works great! Shipping from Walmart.com to my home was very reasonable and much faster than the estimated delivery date. I'm very happy with this ice cream maker and surely recommend it.

I was looking for a small easy to use ice cream freezer. This little guy fit in my kitchen sink and made thick and creamy frozen yogurt. I regularly use a 6 qt. wood and metal ice cream freezer , but needed something easier to handle for smaller recipes. This one was also priced right! I made my yogurt, packed it in ice and let it set in the sink for an hour, I was surprised how firm it was! Can't wait to try more recipes!

Used this after purchasing it works ok you can't put too much ice in the bucket or it won't turn properly and it freezes fast shorter time than advertised the inner can I will say is not very sturdy it dents easily only issue I have with this product

Our old Rival ice cream maker's motor started really slowing down, so I saw this online and it is pretty much like our old one! It works very well! It was a good price, too! Yes, you do have to add rock salt/ice cream salt and lots of ice, but I love the creamy ice cream it makes. I made coconut almond choc chip ice cream last night from my old Ben & Jerry's ice cream recipe book and it was heavenly.

I had an old 20 year 6 quart rival maker that bit the dust last summer while making ice cream for our church "Ice Cream Social". So I was on the hunt for a new one. There aren't too many 6 quart ones out there so I decided to go for a 4 quart one. I checked reviews on the top 10 makers and this one was in it. I read people's reviews and decided this was the one for me. The only down side is that it is noisy like my last one but that was told in the reviews. Made two batches the first time and it worked perfectly. It might take about 5 minutes longer than the rival but I can live with that. We will see if it lasts 21 years like the Rival did. I bought the 2 year plan just in case.

This ice cream maker looks like it will be what we wanted. It replaces one that we used for years at Christmas with our grandchildren. I trust it will give us much more fun times!

This is a pretty good ice cream maker. I've had it a week and already made two batches of ice cream. There's nothing particularly special about it. Put your mix into the canister and put that into the ice bucket. Load the bucket with ice, sprinkle the ice liberally with ice cream salt, attach the motor and turn it on. After a half hour or so you'll have ice cream. The motor isn't quiet, so we put it in the bathroom and close the door while it's running. Price is a bit lower for this model than for similar products.

This replaced our 25 year old Rival ice cream maker that still works but clutch kicks out before ice cream is fully done. This new mixer is as close to the same as the old Rival as I could find. Most of the other new mixers do not stop turning automatically when mix is at proper thickness. This one does. I still use the vanilla ice cream recipe from Rival, crowd favorite.

Got it fir xmas for my boyfriend. He loves it. He used it almost immediately after opening it(he only waited because we didn't have the ingredients to make any of the recipes right away)! Also love the recipe ideas book! Great bonus item. The one major con in my opinion is that it does maje a considerable amount of noise and was advertised to be quiet. Now, having said that, I am unfamiliar with the level of noise these machines make in general.
