Hamilton Beach Wave Action Blender for Kitchen, 48 oz Jar for Smoothies and Shakes, Black

The blender seems to hesitate no matter what button you push and what consistency it is. It may be the "Wave Action" as I don't know what that is exactly, but I imagine it is some kind of pause action or hesitancy, because that is what it seems to do, no matter what setting I use. I just bare with it because I went through too much to get this blender and it IS quite easy to use. I love making smoothies of all kinds. It's kind of fun actually.

For the price I would say this is an excellent blender. The only complaint I have is if you use whole frozen berries or anything like that, you will have to stop in the middle of blending and move the berries around as I did with strawberries. Other than that, this is a great blender, but if you're looking for something with mega power, this might not be the one.

The lid is hard to remove once you put it on. It's also not a quiet blender. It might be quieter than others, but putting "Whisper" in the name is a stretch. The one I received didn't have instructions, so I thought I had to twist the jar counterclockwise in order to detach it from the base, but that just removed the bottom piece and dumped the contents of my blender all over my kitchen; just lift it off the platform when it's done blending. Overall, the blender does what I need it to do, but more expensive blenders are probably better. This one works well enough, though I don't recommend it if you have weak grip strength or any kind of arthritis, because the lid really is very difficult to remove.

I wanted to make a salsa and droppped tomato chunks, onion quarters, chilis, garlic, and a little tomato sauce. pressed salsa and the blender began to blend and contents kept sticking to the sides and were not pulled into the blades. i had the keep pushing the contents down until there was enough liquid to make it work. It does the same thing for chop. contents does not work into blades without stopping and pushing it down. faster to chop by hand.

i like this blender to make smoothie howeber its hard to keep the lid on. you have to line it up you still have to hold the lid when using the blender. the lid is akao hard to remove.its good for regular smoothies dont use gor crushed ice get a more expensive smoothie maker for that

This blender is okay. It looks nice, and will get the job done. The reason for the low rating is many; the life is terrible to get off, the machine runs while lid is off, the pitcher does not lock into the base, the buttons don't always work without holding them down, and the blending takes longer than normal. Just save the time and money and buy the next step or two up. I bought this in a pinch.

The description states “Quiet”. The actual noise this thing makes is like a jack hammer. The “Wave Action” means it can blend liquid. Unfortunately my previous blender that I had for years finally conked out. I will look for that brand, donate this “Quiet” one, accept my loss and move on.

1. The blender does not have 800 watts of power as noted by manufacturer. The blader struggles due to lack of power, and it sounds as though like the blade is having a hard time spinning. 2. The quality of the product is not what it used to be. When blenders were made years ago. 3. Be careful when contacting the manufacturer. They ask you questions based on how you were using the product to see if you damage the product And quick to blame you for not using the owner's manuals , instructions instead of warranting the product for engineer failures with the design of this blender. The customer service is quick to blame. 4. Also had damage done to the outside packaging of the product. Why would this ship the product in its own box? Here are the results. See the pictures attached. 5. I would not recommend this product.It should be removed.

I've used it 4 times, %26 it still makes a bad grinding sound that it definitely shouldn't be doing. There is a stop button, but none of the buttons stay on. I have to hold them down for it to work. Of course I should not have to. Otherwise why have a stop button?

Title and details say it has 12 blending functions but it actually only has 4. Basically the functions are low, high, pulse low and pulse high. False advertising is NOT cool. This is a very basic blender. Also the mating gears are rubber on the pitcher and hard plastic on the power unit so expect that to not last long if you use it a lot.
