I got these for my classroom to help teach my students who can't write legibly about spelling and word parts that can be taken apart and changed for rhyming words or different endings. They like the rods for math manipulatives, so I figured they'd like it for English also.

Made reading interesting!
My daughter does not like to be corrected when reading on the page, she very much wants to just know things without having to ask. Reading Rods gave her enough context to create words while building confidence. They're also fun! I would recommend to parents of children who get stressed when sounding things out.
