The tie mechanism is part of the bag that sticks up at the top. They are light weight and I use them for the small waste baskets in the house. They are over sized for my small waste baskets but when they are full there is enough at the top to tie into a knot. They are heavier than the plastic bags from the market.

I was looking for medium sized, unscented trash bags for our bathroom trash bins. These are perfect! They are thick and perfectly sized for medium bins with no artificial fragrances. I equally appreciate the fair price point and having a larger 100+ count roll that will last longer.

ease of use

The bags are good and strong, a bit larger than I expected. I tought they were a medium size, but I can make them work. I like that they have the 4 fold ties

The tabs have a tendency to slip into the trash basket as it fills up. I cured that problem with a large bungee cord. I prefer the drawstring type of bag but it uses more plastic. This type makes me feel a tiny bit less guilty.

This is nice smaller size waste bag. Convenient to have on hand when the 4 gal. is just too small. Bear in mind, that the way the bag ties takes more room to than either a drawstring or a twist tie. Was just what I needed. Would buy again and recommend ti a friend.

This bag is lite weight - not a heavy gage plastic bag but I needed the smaller size for under the sink garbage can and they work fine with smaller loads.

Buying anything in quantities usually offers the benefit of economies of scale and this is no different since a box of 130 is less expensive per bag than many others and they are probably less expensive anyway because they are thinner than some of the others. This is a real bargain if you are willing to put up with the difficulty of opening these bags. They are folded into fourths and spreading the bag out into its full width is easy but getting it open is very difficult. They are strong enough for all of the average trash and that's great but getting them open is a serious problem.

These are great lightweight bags. However they are very weak bags. Really only good for light trash.. ie.. toilet paper and tissue. I currently use them in our recycling trash can in the kitchen. I have to put a rubber band around the can to keep the bag from sliding in the can. Also they are hard to open. I have to wet my fingers and even then it's hard to make it come apart.

Quality control is way down on this product. The four corners of the bags are not evenly made by the factory, and the bags sometimes rip down the side when being opened. Might have to find an alternative to this purchase in future.
