I bought 2 products from this brand, and I loved this one! The ‘Hard Candy’ face primer in ‘Glow On Lock’ is fantastic! It applies smoothly and has a lovely gold color which goes on transparent but leaves you with a nice, subtle dewy glow. It works like a moisturizer and makeup base primer, making my makeup application effortless on top of it. The other primer I tried was ‘Sweat On Lock,’ by the same ‘Hard Candy’ brand, which didn’t work for me at all. It left my skin feeling very dry, and as I applied my foundation, it looked like my skin was flaking. My sink was filled with flakes from both the foundation and the primer, just from trying to apply my foundation. I started with a clean face, had to wash it again, and then used the ‘Glow On Lock’ primer, which allowed my foundation to go on smoothly, as always. The best is the ‘Glow On Lock’ primer by ‘Hard Candy.’ The worst is the ‘Sweat On Lock’ primer by ‘Hard Candy.’

I bought hoping for a dupe of my expensive one I purchase at a local beauty supplier. It’s not quite the same but I think it was good enough for the 90% cheaper price tag.

I heard great things about this primer, but it did not work for me. It made my skin and make-up ball up almost like an exfoliant. I had to remove everything...primer, make-up and start over. It may work differently for other's, it was just definitely not for me.

The texture of this primer is nice on the skin and gives a mattified but still natural look. I get overheated and sweaty pretty easily and have been looking for something to help keep my sunscreen on in this heat. This primer does help a little but not as much as I'd hoped. For anyone who doesn't start dripping with sweat instantly like me it will probably be perfect!

worst primer I have ever purchased. Primer has an ugly smell that will stay on your skin for days. It also turns white after it dries and turns into a white powder.
