Like other reviewers, I am suspicious of some of the 'positive' reviews. I saw A LOT of raw wood to craft Rune sets. (Search Baltic Thundercross Runes for blogspot) I rarely saw wood processed from a lumber mill. I saw wood from a variety of mostly fallen and occasionally forested trees. I use many different saw brands from Portland Saw to Stanly to generic. All saws perform exceptionally when they are new. The sharpness wanes over use and it is more economical to replace than sharpen myself or have it professionally sharpened. With all that being said, this is my first time using a Hart brand saw. At first, it was extremely sharp but did not flow smoothly through the wood like other saws I used. I think the cause may be the teeth are coated but the blade is not causing friction once the teeth bit into the block of wood. I would suggest coating the whole blade or leave the teeth uncoated as well. As I use the saw, it has 'loosened up' and saws more smoothly and I do like the handle design which is why I gave it five stars. Someone who only occasionally saws milled lumber may have difficulty with this saw not cutting as smoothly 'out of the box' like other saw brands. Also, at this price, I will be purchasing many more as needed. Rock On!
Was very impressed with the sturdiness of the blade. It didn't bend when I was using. Comfortable handle and blade cuts great. Would recommend.
Very satisfied with the item quality
Ease of use
Works like it should!
I received this product through the Spark Reviewer program to test out and give my feedback. I love this saw. We do a lot of home projects and this thing has come in handy more than once. Well made and made to last. Made with lasting materials and saw works very well. I would absolutely suggest to others if in the market and overall am happy with this product. Easy to use and durable.
I was really impressed with the sturdiness of the saw. It has an extremely sharp blade. It has a nice large hole to hang. The handle looks like an ergonomic one and is extremely comfortable. I like that the blade is held on by 3 screws instead of the usual 2. Since the screws are like bolts you can replace the blade if necessary. I would definitely look into buying one of these.
This is a really great saw to have around the house. I used it to cut wood for my barbecue grill. I use twigs from the pecan tree and sometimes the apple tree. The blade is extremely sharp so be careful when using it. It stores away easily. I just put it on a hook in my storage. The handle has a grip on it that is soft especially if you a lady. I love working outside and sure I will find many other uses for this saw. If you're looking for a really sharp saw then this is the one. I encourage you to go out a get this one!
the box says to deliver to side door, it is on the front porch and i cannot get to it. hope it doesn't rain on it.
Sorry to say this but this saw will not cut: binds up on the same dry wood even a rip saw cuts fine. I used a Stanley Fat Max for years (until I lost it) and which cut lumber fine, and I know how a saw should cut, but this one does not. Positive reviews are suspicious, many saying nothing and one is from solicitation program, while most of the others are in the same season.
