HART 20-Volt Cordless 1/2-inch Drill/Driver Kit, (2) 1.5Ah Lithium-Ion Batteries, Gen 2

Great drill for the $. Love that it comes with 2 batteries although the batteries last quite a long time with normal use. I haven't even had to use the second battery yet and I've been using the drill here and there since I bought it 2 months ago.

The charger has a known issue of not charging completely dead batteries. I spoke with Hart. They are aware. I have an easy fix. The batteries just need a 12 volt jump . connect flat wire connectors to one end of wires. slip them into the Pos. and Neg. slots of the hart battery. connect the other ends to a charger or cigarette lighter plug. Charge about 3 min. Then hook up to normal charger. Trust me it works. I used Paper Clips to charge mine. I have used this method many times charging batteries for a Coca Cola printer when it died. It does suck because we should not have to do this. It should be plug and play. my solution does work. Hart is a sister company to Milwaukie Tools so they are a decent product They were made aware yesterday of this problem

The batteries are shipped at zero charge. To get batteries to charge you will need to put a charge on them with a another DC voltage source. I.E. Jumpstart them. It only takes seconds. I jumped them from another 20volt battery. This is not covered in their tech data. Google it. Other than that - no complaints on the drill.

So this drill works great however the battery charger wasn't initially charging the batteries. My BF said he had to “ jumpstart “ the charger. (?) im insure how he did that but he did and he says it works great now.

This is the second time I have bought this product both times the batteries nor the drill were useable the batteries were completely dead not able to charge so I had another battery and the drill don't not work

Customer service does not exist for this company. Either the battery or the charger did not work from the beginning, and when I called, they assured me they would send a new charger to me and took my information. No charger was received, so I have wasted money to buy a different brand.

If you are looking for something that is heavy duty, solid, long lasting convenient %26 work efficient. THIS IS NOT IT!!! Purchased this yesterday and returning it today would not even work long enough to get a screw in. If you're going to pay this much for a drill, get a name brand.

I have been loving the Hart brand, but I'm getting tired of the batteries not working. Both batteries will not charge out of the box. I know there are YouTube videos on how to jump start them, but I'm experimenting like that. Obviously a big issue with these batteries, so please fix.

Sad that the batteries won't charge. Followed instructions step by step. I already own a 20v drill driver set by Hart and love it but lost the charger and one battery. The new charger will not charge either new battery, but will charge my old battery. The instructions said to return the charger and batteries..

Useless crap! Walmart had no accountability at all. They should call the company gasses instead of Hart. Don't let them hurt you either.
