This Hart retractable knife does an awesome job at opening boxes/packages (way easier than using scissors). It comes with 3 blades which are in it's "hidden" compartment within the knife. Blade is easy to remove/replace.

I must say that is one very sharp blade that comes with the knife in which you get three with it, then there is the storage built into the handle - I do like the fact that it dosen't let the blade fall out when you open it up it has a little retaining tabe on it. The extending/retraction thumb button is also raised so if you are wearing gloves it can be operated easily and of course it also has the quick change blade button as a standard on all upper class knives now have. The only slight draw back is the knife itself is pretty straight in design not much of curves too fit the hand better but other wise it's a good knife with a very sharp blade, sharper than others I have used.

This utility knife seems to be well made and solidly constructed. It has a little bit of heft to it and because it’s a bit larger than my other utility knives, it fits well in my hand. The quick change blade function is a nice feature, and I really like the storage compartment for extra blades. Although I like the string cutter, I’m just not sure how much I’ll actually use it. But it’s nice to know it’s there if I need it.

I had to go back to the product page and find the steps/diagram on how to put the blade. The first thing I noticed was that there is no blade inserted, and the storage has 3 blades. I thought there were 4 as stated in the title and description. Must be careful not to cut myself while taking one blade out, and on the second try, I pressed the blue button to insert it properly instead of only pushing the slide up.

This is a pretty user unfriendly utility knife. There is a diagram on the packaging that illustrates the fine points of this knife, but no written instructions. You may think, "why would you need instruction for a utility knife?" Let me cover the fine points. 1. PRO - It accepts standard utility blades. 2. PRO - The 4 blade storage in the handle is quite handy without having to unscrew the knife as in other brands. 3. CON(S) - You have to use something to pop the spare blades out of the storage space to avoid cutting yourself. Then they are equally as difficult to replace in the storage space without cutting yourself. Did I mention it is almost impossible to remove only 1 blade from the storage space at a time without cutting yourself? 4. CON - The 'quick change blade button' is near impossible to depress to get the blade in or out. We had to try a number of times to get the blade to catch so it wouldn't fall out of the knife. It would have been faster to unscrew the knife to access spare blades in the old style knives. 5. PRO?? / CON?? - There is a string cutter but why do you need one when you have a blade? Overall, this utility knife fails in my book. Sometimes new is not better.

I do not like this tool. It feels unsafe to use. You have to manually take out, insert, remove and store the blades. There aren't any diagrams showing how to do each of these things. You'll have to figure it out yourself. I find that VERY unsafe. It is not user friendly to a lay person. The entire time I was handling it, I was thinking "careful you don't want to go to urgent care". I returned it for a refund. 4 blades? does that include that little one that cuts through string? Please, what a misleading title. 3 long blades and a small piece to cut string.
