The scent of lavender is amazing, it's not too strong but covers up the smell well when there is pee on it. It absorbs quick and does not leak through the pad and holds a lot of pee for a large Dalmatian! I have a senior and she tends to have accidents on some days so this helps with making cleanup quicker. It's a great size too, perfect for our needs!
These puppy pads smell really nice and absorb a great amount of liquid. The size is perfect—large enough to be effective without sticking out too much. My pet uses them without any issues, and the light lavender scent really helps keep the area smelling fresh. Overall, they do exactly what they’re supposed to do and make cleanup much easier.
The pads are perfect for a small dog! The size is just right - 21in x 21in, they are very absorbent and there is no residue left on my dog's paws, so he doesn't leave any wet prints on my floor as his did before when I was using a different brand of pads. And the lavender scent is great, it camouflages my dog's pee odor very well so I don't have to change the pad immediately after he does his job, which is great for long term money saving!
My dog has been ill recently and has not been able to go out to relieve herself. After a few mishaps I bought these absorbent dog pads and lay her over them in her bed. They work well containing her mess and masking the odor. Highly recommend, beats washing soiled bedding!
if you already use pee pads or are having challenges with potty training a new puppy/dog, have an incontinent senior dog or one with medical problems, I'd recommend you purchase these and give them a shot. I don't use them very often anymore just because I don't currently have the need to, but I did have a positive experience with them, and I particularly like the light pleasant smell. I'm not one who likes the typical classic lavender smell, but I do like this 'version'. If you are sensitive to or do not likr scented products, I'd suggest you opt for the unscented options.
Disclaimer: I am getting most of my purchase price refunded for this review. The packaging is appealing and compact (25 21x21” pads), and as usual with all pads I've tried, so densely packed it's difficult to withdraw a single or even 2 pads at a time. Chica is my adorable 12lb inherited chihuahua who uses the backyard, but also insists on the weewee pads. I keep the pad in the guest bathroom, with the door almost closed, and if she “goes” more than once, I smell the urine. For this reason, I rarely let it stay with more than 2 uses nor overnight. The lavender scent is strong if you whiff it, but pleasing in the bathroom, so definitely a plus, saving me on air fresheners. So though Chica had just gone on her usual pad, as soon as I put down the Hartz Miracle Guard, she had to try it out and did a little tinkle in the center. Lol Update: pad left overnight with 2 of her “spots” on it, barely an odor yay! Now, 24hours later 4 spots I can barely see, and none leaking off the mat. I think these pads are a keeper! At 54¢ per pad, they're a bit more expensive than my current brand (40¢), but less expensive than major brands Arm %26 Hammer, and Nature's Miracle (which I have not tested).
Hartz Home Protection Miracle Guard (Lavender Scent) puppy pads worked really well for us. They absorb liquid quickly, and it doesn't leak or spread around the edges, which was very important. The lavender scent is noticeable but not too strong or irritating. The size is standard and fits perfectly for small to medium dogs. The material feels thick and durable, unlike cheaper pads that tear or get soggy right away. Our dog got used to using them very quickly. Overall, very good quality for the price.
One of my dogs is a senior and sometimes has trouble holding his bladder, so we put these pads near the backdoor in case we can't get to the door in time to let him out or if he wakes up in the middle of the night. The absorbency is great and our dog doesn't mind the lavender scent since it's light. We haven't had any issues with these pads leaking which is awesome! Besides senior dogs, these pads could work well for young puppies and potty training
These have been great for us. They hold a lot without leaking, even overnight, and the odor control is actually noticeable. The pads feel thick and durable, not flimsy like some others we’ve tried. They’ve made cleanup so much easier and have held up really well with regular use. Definitely one I’ll keep buying.
I received the Hartz Miracle Guard Dog and Puppy Pads Max Absorbency as a test/sample from Peekage, and overall, they're… fine. The absorbency really is solid — they held up well for the full day without leaking, and the size works for regular use. I also appreciated that they didn't slide around, which is a problem I've had with other pads. What kept this from being a 4‑star product for me is the lavender scent. I usually don't mind scented pet products, but this one hits the nose in a way that's more “air freshener gone wrong” than calming. If Hartz ever releases an unscented version or tones the fragrance down, I'd be much happier with it. Good performance, just not a scent I can live with.
