Easy game for a family with young kids
This game is great for teaching actions and consequences, counting, and following directions. The only issue we run into is my son not understanding which direction to go as he progresses, but that's not a big deal. Chutes and Ladders is another classic game that I think all families should have.
This game was my absolute favorite growing up, and it's still a classic!
I have fun playing this game with my niece and nephew.
An old staple. The kids love it, even if they don't always play correctly. Only issue is how easily they can tear apart the box
It's a good game for kids and adults usually join in. It's not one of my daughter's favorites but it's still a good game.
If you can find the original game, opt for that instead. This is a downsized version and cheaply made. Still, this is a good game for teaching counting to small children, and I think the spinner is easier for a small child's hands opposed to dice.
Chutes/Snakes and Ladders is a classic game for teaching young kids numbers up to 100, and basic game-play (taking turns, dealing with bad luck, etc. etc.). Snakes and ladders wasn't in stock so I bought this game instead. Can't go wrong with it... right? Well the board is so cluttered with cartoons it's hard to see the squares. Worse, the squares are just different shades of green, with no black borders so they would be a little hard to see even without cartoons. I drew back lines on it myself with a thin permanent marker and it is way better now. For young kids playing their first board game, its very confusing. Once our Xmas bills are paid, I will still be buying Snakes and Ladders to replace this. Also good to know is that it comes with spinner instead of a dice. The spinner works better for little hands, but kids do need to learn dice eventually.
