For any parent or friend looking to buy a fun gift for kids, this takes the cake. I bought it for my daughter and its so much fun. A lot of these types of toys get put aside after the initial reveal, but this one just keeps getting played with. I bought 3 more as gifts for others and everyone love them. If Spin Master reads this, you should focus on making more of the Hatchimal Alive products because theyre the best in the line-up.
Got this thing on a $6 clearance sale and while it is a cool toy, it is obnoxious. It's loud, it never stops making noise, it is definitely going to get used as a football at some point when I kick it down the street.. The girls love it and for $6 it will make excellent target practice
Bought on clearance for $10 for my granddaughters 6th birthday. I think the adults had as much fun as she did watching it hatch. I would absolutely purchase more.
This Hatchimal is adorable! The mist, lights, and sounds make it feel like a real little pet, and the interactive features keep kids engaged for hours. The 6.5-inch size is perfect for playing and carrying around. The build feels sturdy, and the bright colors make it fun and magical. A great gift for kids who love interactive toys.
it was the last minute birthday gift for my granddaughter suggested by sister. it was delivered on her birthday they left for vacation and she took it unopened and opened it when they arrived at her uncle's house. I saw the video, it was a wonderful surprise! Her big eyes sparkled , giggling as she couldn't wait for it to hatch.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hatchimal is SO cute! From the packaging, to the durability of the product itself and also the entertainment that comes from the surprise aspect, this hatchimal would make a great gift for any little girl!!
Manita from customer service (Walmart distribution center) was wonderful and helped me more then any of the other 10 people I spoke to over the last 2 days I had several issues with my very first delivery order from Walmart ever not sure if I'll be placing many more delivery orders in the future but thankfully Manita was at least able to get me a refund for the damaged item and assure me that my missing item is still "on the way" (on back order) just not sure when it will be here and as long as I don't cancel my order I will receive it soon so I'll just have to keep an eye out for it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls loved opening the Hatchimals Alive Interactive Electronic Pet! It was pretty easy to figure out, but be sure you follow the opening instructions on the packaging for the most fun! The whole opening process took about 5-10 minutes and we loved the mystery of finding out which Draggle pet we would receive inside our egg! We ended up receiving Splash, the water Draggle, which was the one my daughter's were hoping for, so it was even more exciting! During the egg hatching process, there were lots of colorful lights, movements, "smoke", and even sounds that could clue you into which Draggle you may receive. We definitely heard some splashing sounds! It was all lots of fun! You have to follow the instructions and rock, tap, and even gently bounce your egg until it's ready to hatch. The hatching process was so thrilling as our Draggle really cracked through the shell! Once it broke completely through, we could remove it. The Draggle also has several interactive play features, can sing, move and even repeat your voice, too! It's entertaining, but can be a little boring after a while and the sound is on the loud side and cannot be turned down. I do appreciate that the toy can be turned off.
Very fun, cute unboxing that was a real event for us! This was something my atypical daughter wanted for her birthday but the original price (like $70-80) was outrageous. Then one day I noticed it for $20 and immediately went for it - as a potty present. She absolutely loved the whole “show”! We had a lot of fun with it. Then it was discarded - along with the copious amounts of plastic and cardboard which can't be recycled without driving 100 miles [from apparently] anywhere in Alabama]. At least not in st Claire county, Shelby county or even a large part of Jefferson county. I held onto some parts of the packaging to use in crafts later but I mean, wow. It was A LOT of excess cardboard AND plastic which they could have tried a bit harder to limit a bit more. I'm the owner of a small toy company. I've spent much of my time coming up with crafty solutions to multipurpose packaging. This could have been a really great opportunity for the manufacturer to use similar tactics instead of adding to the pollution. Slapping “recyclable” on your packaging does not make you economical. And you cannot expect customers to recycle - especially when many waste companies don't even offer recycling as an option! Things need to change. Don't get me wrong, I make A LOT of waste all by myself. I'm embarrassed by the amount of plastic waste I alone produce in just one day! But there is so much that can be done to multipurpose waste. Like making the package itself a toy. I've seen “little live pets” use similar tactics (which might be the same company), so what makes this toy different? This is my first time commenting on the amount of waste produced by a single toy, btw. I'm not really a very “green” kind of person, I don't think. I could try harder I guess but when you're a single mom of a special needs child… it's hard. So please hear me. This kind of opened my eyes [more] to the issue. I'm sad that our little weird owl creature will sit on a shelf forever but it was a fun experience. Just not worth the amount of waste produced for such a fleeting “joy”… especially when it's our own kids who will pay for our crimes against the planet. Sad. As such, I couldn't even really enjoy that little moment with my girl.
Once you open it there isn't much to it. My daughter liked it but as a parent it isn't much for the money.
