So easy to use my 10 and 12-year-old grandkids can use it all by themselves. They love it, especially during summer hot days.
The only thing I don't like is that the paper cones it came with don't fit under the ice dispenser totally. You have to tilt the cones to fill them. But it's not a reason to return it.
great my daughter loved this for her Birthday
My kids love it!
This snow cone maker is wonderful! It took me less than 5 minutes to get it all put together. It I super easy to use. You just fill it up with ice and press the button. Make sure the little bowl is under it or there will be a mess. This brands flavors are delicious! My favorite is by far the blue raspberry. When you are finished make sure you get all the ice out. I also leave one of the bowls under it just incase. I will say my son's faces was super blue. He had it all over himself, but it washed right off. It did not stain his face or hands!! I definitely recommend the Hawaiian brand sno cone stuff!
This Hawaiian Shaved Ice set is absolutely perfect for any occasion, season, and age. I have honestly never had an ice machine and thought you just put regular ice in it. NO. It comes with two ice molds that you fill and freeze, then insert into the ice machine. I read the instruction booklet front to back before starting, and everything you need to know is in there. Aside from the ice molds, also included are bottle pourers that replace the tops of the syrups, snow cone cups, and spoon straws. And of course, 3 syrups: Cherry, Blue Raspberry, and Grape. Shaving the ice is so simple, once your ice is in the machine, put the top on and push down lightly on the top. You get fluffy ice! One tip in the booklet is to let the ice thaw out for 5-7 minutes before shaving. Add your flavors and grab a spoon, or spoon straw and dig in.
My grandson visited Japan an enjoyed a craze over there, a manual Hawaiian Shaved Ice Machine that was selling out everywhere. Grams checked it out and the manual wasn't available here but the S900A Party Machine did the same thing. He loves it and uses it every day. He said using regular ice cubes makes a courser snow cone type ice that the flavoring goes through to the bottom. If using the included molds for ice it makes a soft fluffier type ice (that is like snow cream) that he wanted but the flavoring doesn't go through to the bottom because it is more dense....so you add more flavoring! He gives it a definite 5 Stars! (And Grams too since I didn't wait until Christmas to give it to him)
I bought this for our techs working on cars in the shop, they have been using it almost everyday since I got it, I did end up buying paper soup cups to use instead of the paper sno cones, they are much sturdier and hold a lot more, I would also recommend buying another pack of the cups you use to freeze the ice pucks in, that way you can have multiple ready to go for the day and pre-flavor some if you wish and they come with lids. other flavors work well as well, we have kiwi and sour apple that is very popular at the moment
I couldn't wait for the ice to freeze into the cute little bowls that it comes with so I used cubes from the freezer. It worked great!! I honestly forgot I was even freezing the bowls after a few days and continued to use the cubed ice. According to the directions the ice from the bowls it comes with will come out fluffier than cubed but I had no issues with fluffiness. :) This has become a household favorite! Our pup loves to lap up the shaved ice and our daughter devours the flavored ice.
its a great starter machine for shaved ice. its a little hard to get the hang of at first but i found that if you use the circular plastic cups that come with it to free water in, use those frozen circles in the maxhine they shave so much better than regukar ice cubes.
