Healthful Home 5-Minute Mold Detection Test Kit

It had a quick response time but I'm curious how accurate it is. I tested an area where there was black mold and it tested negative for toxicity. Two days later, I saw a leak in my basement and ripped up a wall to find another wall covered in black mold.

based on the other reviews I wasn't expecting this to work and thought I'd just get a negative. I was surprised when I looked at the tests a few minutes later and one actually showed a positive. As you may see in the picture the asp/pen came up positive. The stachybotrys didn't come up positive though.  I did a different test that used tape and labs awhile back that said some of my mold is/was stachybotrys so not sure why it wasn't detected with these tests. Maybe the places I swabbed didn't have any. So with that in mind and maybe obvious but the test will only detect what the swap picks up so might not be 100% accurate. Unfortunately this test doesn't include actually lab testing which is $29 for each swab.

Easy to use %26 gives resuits in a few minutes. Also can send off for lab review %26 resuits.

Both tests are simple to run and self interpret within 5 minutes. Would like to see separate tests for each specific microbe however this is definitely enough and does include a free professional analysis (I did not leverage this service).

Easy to uses but came with more swabs than test solution so not sure on that but came back negative but still curious since other reviews I read before purchasing was those were also negative so that is reason for 3 stars

The 5 minute test kit did confirm we had a particular type of mold. Thankfully it was not black mold. There are 2 tests one for each kind. I went ahead and sent off swabs of the 3 areas I tested. I would leave a higher review but the turn around time is lengthly and I still haven't received any results. The swabs cost $25 each so it's was an additional $75. Hoping I hear something soon.

I liked that the results were given within a few minutes and didn't have to send it off and wait for the results. Didn't like that our positive results faded on the test stick window after 2 days, and we could no longer show the landlord to prove that I do have harmful mold.

wish it came with more tests kits so i didnt have to swab multiple areas on one cotton swab(q-tip). instructions could be a little clearer.

Because of instructions, I only had one valid test result.

Item arrived open and damaged. This is after i requested a cancellation they refused to stop the order and shipped it out a day later. Don't buy from this shipper.
