The mayo for those with a soy allergy since this is one of the few mayos that don't contain soybean oil. I wish Wal-mart would do a better job keeping it in stock since there are very few other options for those with a soy allergy.
Made with canola oil, which is a "monounsaturated" fat (like olive oil), as distinct from the oils containing saturated fat normally used in mayonnaise. I cannot detect a difference in taste.
Hellmann's Canola Cholesterol Free Mayonnaise Dressing is a great option for those looking to enjoy the creamy taste of mayonnaise while making a healthier choice. The texture is smooth and spreads easily, and the flavor is mild yet satisfying—perfect for sandwiches, salads, or dips. I appreciate that it's made with canola oil and contains no cholesterol, which makes it feel like a smarter everyday option without sacrificing taste. Compared to other mayonnaise dressings, this one stands out for its balance of flavor and health-conscious formulation. It's versatile, reliable, and gives me peace of mind that I'm making a better choice for my meals.
This is such a great mayonnaise. It has no saturated fat! My boyfriend had a heart attack and we have completely changed our diets. His cardiologist says to really watch those saturated fats and this has been a great tool to help make the change just a little easier and it tastes good!
Hellman's Canola Oil Mayonnaise tastes like regular mayonnaise but only has 40 calories per tablespoon. More important it has no soybean oil in it. It is no longer carried in our local store. We are so glad we can still get it online at Walmart! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
Sorry, but nothing can beat the flavor of Original Hellmann's Mayonnaise (in my honest opinion), but my husband has a bad heart and we're both watching our fat and cholesterol intake. This is a reasonably close replacement as far as flavor and smoothness goes. It's better than any others I've tried. Sooo much better than anything that's labeled as "Diet Mayonnaise" ! Stick with Hellmann's and you can't go wrong.
As for taste, Hellmann's Canola is the best. As for freshness, BEWARE. I ordered 3 jars and only one was fresh. One had expired on the date of delivery, and one was two weeks past expired. I called Hellmann's and was told that a jar of their mayonnaise has a ten (10) month shelf life.
Because we can't get this particular mayonnaise in our town any more, I ordered 10 jars from Walmart. Six of the ten jars have an expiration date less that two months from now. The other four dates are only slightly longer. I am very disappointed that Walmart would fob off their short-dated food this way.
This stuff gives me instant stomach cramps and diarrhea. Turns out canola is just marketing mumbo for rapeseed, a naturally toxic seed oil that was repurposed into "food" by canada after WW2. It had to be genetically engineered to reduce its toxin, erucic acid, then heavily bleached and processed to make it palettable. Sorry, I'd rather have a heart attack than IBD.
i used to give this product 5 stars but now i wouldnt give it as 0 but since needs at least one star to rate i give it the lowest i can...........This Canola Oil Mayo needs brought back to stores but first needs to go back to the original recipe when it first came out....there was NO modified food starch(CORN or any other) in it...If it isnt in the original Hellmanns Mayo it doesnt need to be in this one either. The reason i was purchasing it was there was No Soy in it and at the time no corn...SInce the recipe was changed I, like others, cant purchase it anymore....Dont ask me for Code on label because i dont have no since i cant purchase it
