This is a must have for sewing projects especially if your making clothes. love how easy it is to mark clothes even when using it very gently (highly recommend using it gently) and washes away or you can use a clean damp towel to remove marks afterwards
I used this Hello Hobby White Water-Soluble pencil for outlining large projects, like the text and characters on banners. It performed excellently for mapping out my designs. The mark is highly visible and creates a smooth, clear line, which is essential for detailed work. It was easy to handle and allowed me to quickly and accurately get my design onto the surface. Plus, since it's water-soluble, it would be ideal for fabric projects where the mark needs to disappear. Highly recommended for crafters and artists!
This is a fabric marker with disappearing ink, so the patterns for the 17 dolls my daughter decided to make for friends don't end up with ink marks on them after they're sewn together. Easier to use than waxed chalk markers. And so much easier to see. Just have to be careful not to handle the work with sweaty hands!
I can't say that I hate this product, but I can't say that I love it either just kind of middle of the road nothing fancy, which is fine. It's for sewing. I had a lot of trouble getting it to actually mark maybe because I am just a chalk user at heart I don't really know just I wasn't impressed but I literally wasn't heartbroken either for the price. It did what it needed to do. I just needed something a little bit better but I would recommend it in a pinch or two i can't say that I hate this product, but I can't say that I love it either just kind of middle of the road nothing fancy, which is fine. I got this to help mark quilt lines on my projects and draw out patterns. Overall I was happy with it, you do have to apply pressure to get the line to show up, and it's obviously harder to see on light colored fabric. The pencil is strong and not brittle since the chalk doesn't break easily. I was able to use it for a long time before needing to sharpen. It came off the fabric easily, by wiping with water or washing the fabric but It is not heat disappearing.
I haven't used the pencil much yet, but, so far, I've used it on black denim jean fabric and found it difficult to make a visible white line. But that might be because of the type of fabric. After tracing over it a few times, it was visible enough, and it works better than trying to pin the fabric in the shape I want to cut. I also like that it's a pencil with a sharp point instead of something more bulky.
I got this to use on dark purple fabric, and it did not work at all. My fabric was a bit stretchy and I thought that may be the problem, so I tried it on a dark cotton... it didn't work. I tried rubbing it on paper to soften it but that didn't help. I have read that heating it may help so I will try that next, but you are better off buying fabric chalk.
giving this a 3 only because it is not useful on brown paper, like crafter paper. i got this to do outlines with but the color is so light its hard to see or you have to press real hard then it becomes harder to get off with eraser. it may br good on fabric (never tested) but not brown paper
I like the price on this item and that it arrived quickly. I do not understand it like this product. It does not mark on any type of fabric. I tried to use a sharpener thinking it would carve the other chalk off and moisten the end but this did nothing. I tried this on jeans, cotton (t-shirt-like fabric), Jersey, fleece, and upholstery. None of these fabrics are suitable for this product. These are the fabrics I needed this for my projects. I do not recommend this product unfortunately.
This really did not work for me. When I first opened it - it wouldn't mark white on anything. I then sharpened it myself and it worked a little better but not by much. It more so was a faint white line probably from me rubbing it on the fabric too hard. It might work on black fabric but that would be the only thing.
