Hikari Miso Hikari Miso, 17.6 oz

I love using Miso for soups and soup stock. I've been a non-meat eater for 50 years and prefer this to any kind of soup stock. Most vegetarian/vegan stocks are filled with sodium and chemicals. This is one of the best items that you can use. It's organic, and the sodium content isn't high. It gives food a very nice flavor. You can put a small dollop into a cup and add a mushroom, scallion and a few spices and in minutes you have a cup of warm broth! It's delicious. I highly recommend this item!

I wanted to try a white miso as it's less salty. This looked good based on reviews. I am very pleased. I add a bit more paste than is suggested as I like a stronger taste. So far, I just add udon noodles to it and this makes a simple delicious soup. .

I needed this product for my schoolwork I am a culinary arts student and cook a lot so this came in handy

I live in a rural community and am happy that Walmart carries this brand and so happy I didn't have to buy at Amazon that beefs up their prices.

Product was recommend for a recipe I was preparing. It lived up to expectations and was easy tho use. (Just One Cookbook recipe)

Not spicy at all which is what I prefer. It adds as delicious savory depth to the dish!!

It was delivered with 2 days left before the use by/expiration date. Disappointed with the dates on Walmart food delivery….

This was delivered dark brown. Best by date 12/31/26 so not expired. Used in my recipe anyway, but it is supposed to be beige color or so, so dont know how it is being stored. I checked at another nearby grocer and it was beige with best buy date 3/27. So I guess it is stocked with long shelf storage. Its was also $3 less and this store is notoriously high priced. So I would have to say can do better elsewhere and will be sure to buy this in person next time. Walmart rarely disappoints but this was. I have to say I was nervous using it by how it looked and ready to return but it appears to be safe just odd how dark. White miso shouldnt be dark brown.
