What a difference this food has made in my 9yr old Puggle. He was slowing down and had gained a couple extra pounds and i needed to do something so i switched to Perfect weight. Since then he has so much more energy and his coat is super shiny. Best of all he is losing weight and he is back to his self :)
I have an older dog and wanted him to loose a little weight where he is not very active. This dog food he loves. He has been eating this brand of dog food for ever. He is 14 years old now. I was looking for something better to help with his weight. This is just what I wanted perfect weight and he loves it.
I have a 34 pound dog that lost six pounds after eight months of eating this dog food. She was overweight before she started on hills science diet perfect weight dog food. I I do mix some chopped up chicken breast with her food and And a little chicken broth to soften it.
Mandy is a very picky eater for a 9 year old Beagle, but once she tried the Perfect weight food, she really loved it. It gave her more energy to play and run, her coat is nice and shiny and she has not begged for more food. She has lost 5 pounds and going on strong. I am happy that we decided to give her this food because I have tried all different dog food to help her loose weight and nothing has worked. Keep up the good work Hill's Science!!! Your friend Mandy Davis
My veterinarian suggested tater eat science diet perfect weight small bites food. He has been on it for about four years. He currently weighs 16 pounds which for a Chihuahua terrier mix dog at 12 years old is 2 pounds over his ideal weight. However, he eats it with about three or four brand flakes crushed.
I have a lazy chow chow who loves treats and has become more low energy as he's aged. We took him to the vet and they suggested this dog food to help manage his weight. The vet weighed him at 55lbs and wanted him at around 48-50 range. Went out and bought this, used the suggested weight feeding goals on the side of the bag and after about 3-4 months we definitely noticed the difference. His shape is more defined? He's doing good!! And he actually likes the food. Not to mention that he has a sensitive tummy and the issue has decreased dramatically since we started using this. It's a grey product.
I have a three legged Australian Shepherd. He tends to gain weight easily since he can't be as active as he'd like. I switched him to this food and it has worked wonders! He can still eat the same amount of food, but with a lot less calories. It helps keep him nice and trim and able to enjoy life!
I have a low energy Pitbull that burns little calories and loves to eat...I've struggled to get her to the perfect balance for years. Some foods had to high protein others not enough etc. My vet recommended the R/D as a short term solution to loosing a much needed 10 lbs. The R/D worked but was the only food that kept her weight down to near normal. After 4 years of the R/D I was in the process of moving and was unable to get my regular order. I ended up at the local Pet Smart where I was planning on getting the low cal Hills and found the Hills Science Diet Perfect Weight. It was brand new at the time but I tried it. Its been about 8 months and this is definitely the answer and more affordable. My dog has lost 5 pounds in 6 months from changing from the Hills Science Diet Prescription Weight Loss R/D. 2 cups a day and seems to be satisfied with the portions. After all these years, trying at least 10 different types of kibble this one is the winner! Thank you Hills!
My pitbull mix is getting up there in years, so I've been blaming her low energy on that for a while. Switched to Perfect Weight this summer and cannot believe how much more energy she has! She cleans EVERY bowl (maybe even faster than she did with her last food) and just all around a happier, more energetic dog! It took a few weeks to notice a weight difference but after that it just fell off and she is down to what our vet was wanting - so happy with Hill's! Should have switched her to this sooner!!!
I have bought this dog food for my 2 rescues for the last 4 years but the latest bag has smaller bites. They are a lot smaller than the previous bag. There was no wording on the bag stating that they were small bites or a new kibble size. I just feel a little cheated and will now have to figure out if the feeding chart is correct for my dogs.
