Hinode Medium Grain Calrose White Rice 20lbs

We love this brand and this type of rice! We make fried rice, Mediterranean pilaf, risotto (w/ mushrooms) and Spanish rice with this. Easy preparation. Try washing it thoroughly and soaking it in water for about two hours before frying it. It'll be very, very tasty!

I use this kind of rice for everything, so versatile and great for sushi as well

So depending on what your making the size of the rice grain will change the whole dish. Medium grain is best for side dishes that you want to hold form with. Alot of asian style food this works great for. Im talking, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc. It can work for recipes like onigiri in a pinch but I would say you still need short grain for something like that. Price is good for a bulk purchase and should last you months if your making for a standard house size of 3~4 people. Be sure to keep in a dry container. Once this is opened I would not keep it in the bag so be sure to buy a container with the right volume in mind.

I grew up in Hawaii where rice is a staple. This is one of the brands thats available there. I am now in Alaska and tired the brands available here which doesn't come close to the constancy and texture. The brands available here come out too wet and mushy. Some say add less water, It comes out too dry and undercooked. Highly recommend

Must have for rice eating households. Price per pound is cheaper than other stores, even when they have sales. Easy to make; simply rinse, measure water and rice, and cook.

Very pleased to learn about and try this rice that is similar to Japanese short grain. We use it as a regular side dish but I think we might try it for some Japanese recipes and California rolls.

This is the best rice out there, whether you wash it or not. Makes the perfect amount measured and is fluffy and delicious. A main staple for people in Hawaii, moving to Texas I NOW subscribe to it monthly. Love that idea! Great buy for the price.

Household staple. Great price and quality. We eat rice everyday and this works fine. Depending on brand you have to rinse more to get clean, this brand requires extra rinses, but worth the price. I also realized for awhile now I don't find “stones or pebbles” in the rice. 10/10

The rice came with a hole in it, it came shipped because they didn't have it in the store. Unsanitary to eat for my family.

Best rice! We are glad we can get hawaii brand rice in Las Vegas delivered to our home. The best thing is we don't have to carry it up our stairs.😊
