I looked at Fire, Roku, and others. SmartTV is what I chose for my fit. It's a smart tv, well android, I'm not sure show "smart" android is without a user. As the user google play has lots of SmartTV apps, not exactly what you can get with an android phone/tablet, but, probably enough to keep any viewer satisfied. Some of the apps don't behave the way they do running on a phone/tablet, like TuneIn on the TV doesn't remember what radio station I'm listening to after boot, and doesn't seem to have a favorites category. The TV does have a web browser, sweet. I find the wifi not very robust, a lot of buffering, apps locking up and such. I don't have this problem with my Roku stick. I fixed this with an ethernet (wired) connection. There are no buttons, everything is done with the remote or with a phone/tablet via an app. One cool thing I found is an app that does a slide show of my pictures, so I can listen to my favorite radio station and see a slideshow of my personal content in the cloud. I didn't see much on RAM, BOOT time is acceptable though, storage is 4GB with the OS taking up about 2GB. I've loaded about 10 apps and haven't run out of memory yet. The power light is on when the tv is off, and off while the TV is on, I really don't know why this is a thing, I have other appliances that are like that. For the price? You bet, it's a great choice.
The picture is very crisp. The TV was easy to assemble. There is no need to connect to Wi-Fi. Sound is great. Good price.
Overall solid, for somebody who simply wants a decent first smart tv and nothing else. It's hard to recommend to anyone doing next Gen gaming because it doesn't have 4k or 120 hz however it does have motion 120 witch makes games run a bit smoother than regular tvs
i only had my tv for 4 months before the screen went black I've contacted the company will be updating
real piece of crap. went black after only a couple months
The TV is not compatible with Spectrum App. To much restrictions.
It turns off any time it wants , freeze until disconnected just a waste of money But if not enough don't ever get Walmarts extended warranty for you will lose your money and your time I try for hours and days but after all that i was told by insurance company “ we can't do anything seems the tv have a Factory problem
I have had this item for less than a month and the screen has already went out. In the weeks leading up to this it would drop Internet connection and not be able to find the Internet when I would try to reconnect. I of course now no longer have the box and cannot return it.
This TV is absolutely horrible. Had it for only 6 months and the screen turned black! I read reviews thinking maybe all these other people were unlucky but it's true, the screen just turned black and stops working. The remote control is just as horrible too! It never works so I ended up getting the Amazon stick and used that. My family and I live a military life moving everywhere including overseas and not once we had issues with the other tvs stop working. We literally just got it this tv, never moved and 6 month later, it stop working. We payed almost $250 for this! I highly do not recommend this. I'm trying to get in touch with the company but I haven't heard back… I will updated once I hear back. Very disappointed.
This TV is horrible the remote only worked for a week and qas told I qould need to purchase a new one 2 weeks after purchase and now even with ethernet cable plugged into it will only work with a few apps
