Hisense 55" Class U8 Series Mini-LED ULED 4K UHD Google Smart TV (55U8K) - QLED, Native 144Hz, 1500-Nit, Dolby Vision IQ, Full Array Local Dimming, Game Mode Pro

We were looking for a tv that could be used on our screen porch as the skylights, even though tinted, make the room very bright when the sun is shining brightly! The tv we used from an inside room was only watchable after the morning and midday sun were past. The Hisense 55U8K tv blasts through the bright indirect sunshine as shown in the attached photo, (before I even removed the plastic packaging), easily giving us a super bright, sharp and detailed picture that is easy to watch and enjoy. The mini-led backlighting really does make the screen highlights pop on screen in great detail.

TV set-up was extremely simple %26 easy to do, and I was back to watching my favorite programming within 15 minutes after unpacking. This Hisense 55" U8K has a top-notch picture quality and the 'Apps', Google TV and personal settings are exceptional. I would recommend this Hisense TV to anyone shopping for a quality set, and it's well worth the price!

I love the brightness of the TV. The colors are always washed out from the manufacturer's settings. I resolved that by adjusting the color settings. The picture is good, the color is good and the brightness is good. I like to play PC games, so the 144Hz at 4k is fantastic. You have to look at the HDMI inputs to make sure you connect your PC to the correct input. they are labeled, though hard to see, at least for me. So far, I am a happy customer.

So far I'm very satisfied with this TV and Delivery, TV has many different settings for sound and picture, movies and games look and play great

We love this TV. Samsung has been my brand of choice for TV for a long time. Did some research and found Hisense. There are many less expensive 55” sets available BUT this tv has a terrific picture and very good sound. Check it out.

At first I would say I was disappointed. I Tried the base model u6k. Color was not great and pixelated bad. I then upgraded to the 55U8K and at first I was amazed and then Later ran into issues. However after I found out what settings are needed. All I can say is wow. Most amazing picture I have ever seen. I also have the Vizio sound bar with the front to height channels and its all amazing. By far the best settings are under general dolby vision IQ , automatic light sensor on, under brightness local dimming medium, brightness 41, contrast 50, black level -6, dark detail on, active contrast low, dynamic tone mapping off, hdmi dynamic range auto, under clarity super resolution on, smooth gradient low, noise reduction low, mpeg noise reduction medium, and most important leave off motion enhancement to off including motion cleaness off. When these are on I had distortion. Anyway with all these setting it's almost as good and much brighter then an OLED tv and for 1/3 the price if on sale. I have the 55 inch. I want a 75 inch next. After ordering this tv for $830.73, a couple of ours later, price was dropped to $798.00! That was a huge disappointment for us and was done just a couple hours or so after we ordered! That was like a slap in the face! What would make us happy, would be to be refunded that extra we had to pay before priced dropped on us!

so this TV has a brilliant and beautiful and brightness play if you use exterior inputs but the built-in Google TV is sluggish jerky and doesn't act right hangs often there's a lot of basic features that I think this TV lacks like the ability to remove inputs from the input selector list or the ability to reorder the input selector list it's got a ton of silly features like a camera so you can make motions at the TV but it lacks the basics so honestly I don't use the smart portions of this TV at all.

This TV is a nighmare! Don't bother. There are multiple issues with the TV and after 3 days of trying to get someone from Hisense support to talk with me, I found that he knew even less than me about the TV. For instance, The Next Generation (NG) stations abruptly stopped receiving and the tech did not even know what NG was? Really? The tech eventually hung up the phone becuase he knew he was an idiot. There is no place to check to see what firmware version the TV has. The USB port does not recognize anything. I cannot get an RMA or repair authorization. The On Screen Controls (OSC) do not work with my AV system.
