It's a very solid can and does not feel flimsy at all. The lid opens and shuts easily. It is very deep which is nice but I do wish it was a little wider.

The 8 gallon, stainless steel, fingerprint resistant, ribbed trash can features a sleek, slim design, a step pedal and a soft-closing lid that opens and closes silently. With it's slim body style, it can fit almost anywhere. We put it in the narrow space between the wall and our refrigerator, it fits perfectly. I like how it has a convenient rubber band on the removable waste bin to secure the garbage bag and tuck in excess material to prevent spills or overflow and keep the garbage bag in place. The Home Zone Living Trash Can's sleek, modern design looks very stylish in our kitchen. It is versatile, functional and a huge upgrade from our previous garbage can.

I would like it more if the finish was not so shiny as everything shows on it. A brushed stainless effect would suit me better. It is difficult to put the liner in and not have it show. I do like the size and the rectangle shape. So far the soft-close lid works great and it makes me happy!

I love the step pedal because I don't have to touch a trash can lid. I do with it was a 13 gallon trash can but this size is perfect for my workspace.

I can't rate the item adequately because I have not yet received it. Was scheduled to arrive Nov. 20... still not here

The trash can looks nice and functioned well for 3 months then the soft close feature ceased. Now the lid drops quickly with a loud bang. Apparently the little damper in the linkage collapsed. It would take 30 seconds to replace it if the manufacturer supplied the part.
