HoMedics SS-2000 Mini Portable Travel Sound Spa, Sleep Therapy Machine with 6 Calm Effects, Nature Sounds for Home

I've had a few of these, pretty much identical, Homedics sound machines over the years. The sound machines last a long time. They have a battery backup, a timer (optional use), volume control and multiple cool background sounds to choose from. My favorite is "waterfall." This machine is just a backup for when my current 8 year old machine finally dies.

I bought this sound machine because I am an extremely light sleeper. This isn't so loud that I can't hear my alarm, but loud enough that every little noise doesn't wake me up (the volume can be adjusted and does go very loud if needed). I have also carried this with me when we stayed in a hotel. I like that it can work off of batteries or with the wall plug making it easy to move from room to room. The sounds are very realistic, so much that my dog that is scared of thunder DOES NOT like the setting with rain and thunder. Price was very reasonable and I am very happy with my purchase and also purchased one for my dad to help him sleep and he is also very happy with the sound machine. Will definitely buy again if this one quits working and would definitely recommend!

Soothes the kids to sleep within minutes! Still can't understand why they are afraid of real thunder yet keep the noise machines on the thunder sounds? Now that they are older and have their own rooms, we had to have a second machine. Expensive but worth it.

I grew up in the country and being able to hear crickets with a sound machine oh my gosh who wouldn't love that if you're a country girl, this sound machine is fantastic. It helps me sleep and when I don't feel like listening to crickets, I can put on the Brook sound and it's just hearing water running and it helps me sleep.

I'm familiar with HoMedics' products and am usually very satisfied with them. He's only used it for 1 night and was happy with it and helped get a good night's sleep.

This is the second time I'm purchasing this (because I need a second one). Returning customers are happy customers. I've tried a few cheaper options that just didn't do the trick, this one takes the cake!

Machine is very easy to use. The sound is very real and helps me relax and shut down my brain and mind from thinking at night so I can sleep. It is very helpful to get a good night sleep. Also has a timer so machine does not run all night.

I bought this HoMedics SS-2000 Travel Sound System for my sister. She lives in an apartment where her neighbors are TOO LOUD. This HoMedics system has 5 different sounds to choose from. it is small enough to do the job and it does not take up too much room. The orice was also JUST RIGHT.

I have bad anxiety and ocd -I need loud rain sounds to turn my brain off in order to sleep. I've tried tons of sound machines over the years. I recently stayed w/ a friend who had one of these in her guest room (such a good host) and i slept AMAZING!! I immediately ordered one after the first night, so that it would be waiting for me when i got back home. Unfortunately, the one i got isn't the same quality as the older model that my friend has. With that said, I gave it to my parents who are enjoying it. don't have any complaints. They don't like it nearly as loud as i do, so the volume isn't an issue for them. They enjoy it and have no complaints. if you're looking for lots of noise options %26 you don't want/ need it to be super loud, you might like this one! cons: * wasn't loud enough (for me) * starts to get staticky about 2/3 of highest volume * the plastic is different than my friends version and feels cheap. pros : *dial controls instead of having to press annoying little buttons * plenty of sound options

This is a very quiet sound machine. It has beautiful options and it's very light, optimal for traveling. but just not loud enough for my family's neds.
