I have another automatic open trash can and this one is much better. Sometimes when I walk by my other one will open, but this one does not open until I have trash ready to put into it. It opens very quickly, stays open several seconds and then closes quickly as well.
Super perfect for people with arthritis. Just wave and it opens. You don't have to try to balance and push step with toes and you don't have to touch a dirty lid with your hands. I got for a friend and we both like it so much I may have to buy one for myself. Only complain is the cord is very short and in the bathroom it didn't reach.
I really like this trash can and the fact that it runs on batteries and/or via an adapter. It was easy to setup and it looks great!
I love this trash can!! It's sleek design fits perfectly in a small area in my kitchen. It works very well and holds an amazing amount of trash. The power adapter is included. I enjoy not having to purchase batteries. I have never before had visitors compliment my trash can. It has become a conversation piece!
Love it. It is big, but doesn't look bulky %26 the lid opens nicely.
This was a replacement for a previous home Labs model and I really like it except it's difficult to learn how to insert the bag. The closing mechanism is a little noisier than the previous model.
it's definitely over priced.
It looks good and neat in the kitchen, especially for smaller spaces. There is no option for a power cable so hopefully the battery life will prove to be good. The lid is plastic and does not seem very sturdy. The sensor is not as sensitive as the previous model and getting the lid to open sometimes takes some waving around of trash. Also there is no timer indicator for how long the lid will remain open. The old model failed after around 2 1/2 years because the gear mechanism for the lid failed to calibrate, so one side would always stay open no matter how many times I fixed it. I hope this new design for the lid mechanism is more reliable but it seems less sturdy.
the emotion detection I is sensitive so it does open when you need to, the only drawback about this trash can is that because the lid opens butterfly wing style, it's not a very large opening.. but if you're going for Style and functionality and price.. this is a good trash can to purchase.. and it also has the added benefit of having an AC adapter.. 99% of the motion detection trash cans are battery operated.. apparently all of the trash can manufacturers believe that we don't have electrical outlets in our home.. and because we're such weirdos, we would never even think of putting our trash can next to an outlet..
I wanted to like it, but unfortunately the lid doesn't open all the way after just a couple months. :( The trash bags have to be stretched to fit which is annoying. Now I'm going to have to buy a new trash can, sad that I paid a lot of money for something worthless.
