My kids LOVE this thing. Every time I turn around, they are in our freezer to make their favorite slushie maker. They only get them out once right after school during the week but on the weekends they're in our freezer nonstop. They loved them so much that I had to buy more to put on rotation because I couldn't keep up. I'm shocked at how my they enjoy it because they get tired of things easily, but they're still going strong. All a mom wants is for their kids to be happy and happy they are.
It's simple to use, easy to clean, and fun to use. You just pour in your favorite beverage and squeeze the cup repeatedly until the desired texture. It will even keep your icy/slushy frozen like. You can even use ice cream! It also comes with an open dome like lid and a scoop that will attach to the straw. The design on this cup is really cool and the functionality of it is awesome. My son (11yro) loves to make different "creations" to enjoy. He says it's magic.
I bought this for my 7 year old grandson. he tried it right away as I had it in the freezer for him and now he says he doesn't have to spend his allowance to buy slushies at the corner store. it worked right away it wasn't messy it was very convenient for him to use
I was skeptical about a cup doing what this cup says it does.. Ingenious idea.. Works great and take less than 5 min. Be sure to follow directions and only fill halfway to start out with so it's not spilling over the top when you first start making your slushie. The straw has a detachable spoon end.. Such a great product. Kudos to the inventors.. I can't think of anything else that would make it a better product except maybe a bigger straw, they really thought of everything..
My daughter saw this so I decided to give it a try. It was an amazing purchase! She uses it almost everyday and adds things like Gatorade and caprisun. It's saved us from her wanting to go to get slushies at the gas station. She adores it and for the price it's really good. All you need to do is freeze it overnight then pour the liquid you want in then squeeze for a little and you're done. I would buy it again
This thing actually works! Follow the instructions...freeze the cup at least overnight to make sure it's completely frozen, combine whatever ingredients you want for a slushy (and, yes, you can make a boozey slushy also), pour it into the cup--not too full because you need room for the next step which is squeezing the cup all the way around alternating from side to side, in about 5 minutes you'll have a single slushy. I don't recommend putting anything dairy in it because it just becomes a frozen mess (I tried chocolate milk for a milkshake but it didn't work like I thought it would). I only gave it 4 stars because of how little it makes, but it would be great for someone that just wanted a small amount or for a kid.
I was expecting the beverage to start freezing immediately as indicated in the instructions. I realized you have to let your beverage sit in the frozen cup for a few mins and then start squeezing, let it sit for a few mins and start squeezing it again, etc. Not what I expected so I would not recommend this item.
I tried one of those handheld slushie makers you stick in the freezer, and honestly, it's pretty fun. You just pour in your drink, squeeze it around a bit, and it turns into a slushie way faster than I expected. The texture came out smooth, not chunky like when I've tried to freeze things in the past. It's also nice that you can use juice, soda, or even iced coffee—basically anything works. The only downside is you do have to remember to keep the cup in the freezer ahead of time, so it's not instant gratification unless you're prepared. But when it's ready, it feels kind of like a magic trick. Overall, I was surprised by how much I liked it—it's one of those little gadgets that actually does what it says.
It's not as good as it sounds. I've used it several times now, and have left if in the freezer about twelve hours before using each time. While I got icee-like slush af the top of my soda, the lower majority (70%) of soda remained liquid: albeit *cold* liquid.
Excited to get it. First time it was fine. Second time using it fell apart. Ring separated from screw on white top. Ring on blue part of cup came off. Clear top screws on ok. Couldn't get parts to screw back together.. Finally got the pieces put back. Hoping this doesn't fall apart every time I use it. Decided to recommend ("YES') but it may need to be fixed after using. It does make "slush" after squeezing for a minute or two. Will be great on a hot day. (Unable to send picture.)
