It's become a surprisingly fun and relaxing creative outlet for both of us. One thing I really appreciate is how compact and portable it is. It doesn't take up much space, making it easy to store when we're not using it. The kit came with a great variety of filament colors, which helped us jump right into creating. There is definitely a learning curve. I would recommend finding some beginner templates online for your first few projects. After making several items, you start to get a much better feel for controlling the pen and building shapes. Once it clicks, it's incredibly fun. My only real complaint is that I wish it were battery-operated. The cord can occasionally get in the way, especially when you're also managing the filament. That said, it's a minor inconvenience and something you learn to work around pretty quickly. Overall, this has been a fantastic purchase and a lot of fun for all ages. Whether you're buying it for a child or secretly planning to use it yourself, I highly recommend it!

This 3D pen was a huge hit as a Christmas gift for my preteen nieces and nephews. It kept them busy for hours right out of the box, and they loved being able to turn their ideas into something they could actually hold. This is a 3d pen it is pretty easy to use, just follow the directions. It may take some practice to make steady lines if that is what you are wanting. We tried out a few stencils they are pretty easy to follow. It did come with 3 starter colors so you will need to purchase more to do more projects. It does dry pretty fast so you don't have to sit around waiting. It does take a little time getting use to the size of the pen and holding it. It is a great product and and the kids like to use it to make little things right now as they are still learning to use it.

Wow I am so excited to learn how to draw in 3D, to feel what I drew not on paper but able to hold the drawing. I am using a 3D app tutor to learn how to put my art into a perfect design that can be appreciated as a see and touch object. So bear with me as I show my first attempt to design a bike. This is not a tool to be used for children because it heats up to 210 degrees and not to be used on surfaces like table unless you have a drawing table that can handle the heat. I know once I master the tool I will be good at bringing my drawings alive. Right now don’t laugh at my first bike, lol. The machine is light weight and easy to load plastic in.

This pen is so much fun! I got it for my granddaughters birthday and it is easy to use and understand.

We got this to try out and my son loved it. It’s a starter kit that comes with the pen, charging cord, manual, 3 colors of plastic “rope” and stencils. He made some pretty cool designs and objects. The 4 samples of plastic “rope” lasts a decent amount of time. There’s no strong burning smell and the melted plastic hardens back up quickly. This product seems pretty safe as long as the directions are followed. I would recommend it for any beginner who wants to try out 3-D printing.

Was excited, but it malfunctioned right away and showed us an error code. Apparently, it just wasn’t getting to the proper heat internally and it kept stopping. I reached out to the manufactured and have not heard back so I will be returning.

It continually pushes out the filament with no stop. I have to unplug the entire thing to stop it. You do not get what is pictured. I am very disappointed. Do not waste your money on this item. Ordered it for my son, and he can not safely use it.
