The controller is as expected, from Hori, excellent in every regard. No extra features that aren't needed for 99% of titles you'll play on the Switch. No motion control, no Amiibo NFC, no rumble. The controller is nice and light, and the more traditional style D-pad is a blessing for VC and retro style titles. The Joysticks focus movement up, down, left, right for a more accurate experience with more precise aim. The buttons are all superb, and the controller fits perfectly for most hand sizes quite comfortably. As an alternative to the expensive Pro controller, this does more than a good job to give you an alternative to the JoyCons.
it's awesome
All I wanted was a simple Switch controller to use when my console is docked. I only use it for Pokemon Sword and Shield and it works great. I don't need things like amiibo compatibility, rumble, or motion controls, and if you don't need them, either, then I highly recommend this controller. Simple, but still good quality.
The buttons get stuck but its alright
Purchased this controller in high hopes that I could accept the whole wired controller thing, and I actually had no issues with it. Started up a game of Splatoon 2, and what do you know! No motion controls. Or NFC. Or rumble feature. If you can live without those three things and can life with a wire, then by all means, this controller is fantastic. Otherwise, just do it right and get a pro controller.
