I don't like how they've cut the meat portion down and raised the prices up. These little dinners are delicious, fast and easy to fix. These are perfect, on the run, meals. No gristle. Not for vegetarians. They used to be meatier.
It just as good tasting as Big Brand name syrups.
I bought a half dozen or so, assorted varity. They are SUPPOSED to be for 'hard times", when there is no $$$ for groceries. Been there. Done that. Well, I HAD to test a few out before I added them to my Emergency Food supply. The Meatloaf %26 Mashed Potatoes With Gravy is OUTSTANDING! The meatloaf is moist %26 tasty. The potatoes have one or two soft lumps ... just like my mashed potatoes! Tasty gravy! I recently bought the Chicken Alfredo %26 Pot Roast varities. I'll let you know how they taste. Oh! Now I'm hungry!! I think I'll try the chicken alfredo.
Very Good. We like these, the Hormel Compleats Chicken Alfredo and others. Was surprised how very tasty and filling they are. So easy and quick, one minute in microwave and meal is ready. Great they are shelf stable, take very little storage space and easily brought along in travels. We've enjoyed for a few years now. Recommend. We like many of Hormel's Products.
When Hormel came out with their different Compleats years ago I tried them and they were good. Now they are great! I don't consider them as a dinner to get full, but as snacks, when I get the urge to have something mid day but don't want a sandwich, these meals are perfect. Just get a pair of scissors snip off the carboard wrapper, get a small knife and punch three holes in the plastic top, microwave for 1 minute and it's ready, and no dishes to wash. Very I bought a regular pair of pliers from the hardware store because they are hot and the glue they use to keep it air tight is perfect to keep it fresh, but tough, so I use the pliers to grab the edge of the plastic top, and pull it off that way. Much easier. You'll love the different flavors the make.
I've been watching Hormel going down slowly! These used to be good with small chunks of beef in them, but now they decided to put an imitation beef hockey puck in them like they did with the meatloaf! I only bought them mostly for my dog because she would not eat regular dog food then she stopped eating these. I decided to finish what I had but then I got into the new version and just threw out the puck! The stew, potatoes and carrots taste OK, but it's sure not worth the money!
i don't like the new solid 1 piece of meat. the meat has no texture and no flavor. it is not like the old brand of flavor. it taste disgusting.
There was no meat in this roast and vegetable meal. It was mostly gravy and potatoes with 2 carrots. I want be getting this again!
I don't know what the factory is doing but this is not pot roast
I knew better going in, but I didn't think you could mess up carrots and potatoes THAT badly. The 'meat' is a whole different story and couldn't even bring myself to try it the SLAB of processed patty. The gravy is weird and way too salty. Just overall not even worth it. I don't know how they even sell this.
