HORMEL Chili with Beans, No Artificial Ingredients, 15 oz Steel Can

This is as close as you can get to homemade when you don't have the time to make chili from scratch. The nutritional values are great and are "healthy" compared to some processed foods. It's a great product to keep in the cupboard when you want a quick, hot, steaming bowl of chili on a cold evening.

Still the same great Chili. Great with crackers. Been eating this all my life since a little boy, and I'm now mid-70s. Hormel quality has been around a long time, and I always return to their products over others. Or make a simple family meal time casserole with 2 cans of chili in an 8 x 8 casserole dish, 1 cup of grated cheese on top of the chili, and a 6 oz pouch of Martha White Cotton Country Buttermilk Cornbread mixed up just like you were making cornbread on top of all that. Cooks to done in about 30 minutes in a 375° oven. Serve warm with a dab of sour cream on top if you like. Easy. Inexpensive. Good stuff.

The best chili I have ever bought. I have eaten it for many years. However, in the past month I began eating Hormel TURKEY chili and have now come to prefer it over the regular beef chili. There are fewer beans and there is a lot less turkey than there was beef, and the taste is milder, but it is healthier, better for me than the regular chili. If you're watching your weight or have health concerns in general, try turkey chili a few times and you might actually prefer it as well.

I love this stuff, OK it's not homemade but it's really good for canned chili, it has a good amount of beef and beans I like the chili flavor, it's not spicy which works for me but if you like it spicy a little hot sauce some red pepper flakes and you're good to go. It's great as is right out of the can it consistent and reliable. every can is pretty much like the last can and Hat's Off to Hormel for not shrinking the size of the can while inflating the price. C'mon you can't beat the price. This is a meal for 1 person or if you have a salad, some bread you can satisfy 2 people with 1 can. I like to play around with this, I sometimes add more chili powder, garlic powder and black pepper. I also like to add onions and peppers sometimes I add jalapeno peppers and put a dollop of sour cream on top. My favorite way to eat it is to add half a brick of cream cheese to it and eat it like a dip. This is awesome it's so rich and thick and decadent it feels like a sin. My grandma always add macaroni to her chili so sometimes I cook up some macaroni and mix it in with some cheddar cheese, onions and pepper maybe some diced tomatoes if I have them It stretches 1 can out for 2 or 3 meals that are absolutely filling. Don't forget to toss the diced raw onions on top it's phenomenal! I always keep at least 2 cans of this on hand, in the winter I keep 6 cans on hand just in case there's a huge blizzard. If the power goes out I can eat this straight out of the can. I'd rather have it hot but in emergencies this works. It would also be great to have on hand in case of a zombie apocalypse.

This old guy has tried lots of canned chili brands and, makes his own homemade chili too. I make it mild with HOT stuff on the side so you can burn your belly out. But I think I like "Hormel" the best. But, these big cans are used when I cheat at chili makin'. Ha! Put a can or two in a slow cooker some multiple colored bell peppers, diced tomatoes, onions burger meat, black beans or chili beans or both and, Heinz catsup, instead of tomato sauce. Yeah it has some good tasting spices in it already. And of course, chili powder and brown sugar. You can add hot peppers if you like. And, you've got a unique tasting "vat-o-chili" you can feed your crew or group. So, I guess it good!

I'm an elderly single person, and making a pot of chili is way too much for 1 person. But I love chili, so I use this as my base and make it my own. Extra spices, cut up an onion, add some extra tomatoes, and let it simmer for a while. It is the best substitute for homemade. Makes 2 nice size servings, perfect for 1 person.

This brand has been a staple in my pantry for decades. No, it isn't the healthiest product. But, it is superior to many alternatives. Filling. Good source of protein. Just add some freshly chopped onions, shredded cheese, parsley, etc. It is a solid meal. Not mushy. Not watery. It is also a good option to use as a topping.Gotta have the beans!

Hormel chili was my favorite. But... NOT now. Half of the can is water now. Originally, hormel chili was thick and rich. But... NOT now. It poors out of the can like water from the tap.. And you can tell it has onl half of the beans and meat now. Basically, you will need to open 2 cans and drain off all of the water. And then you can dump the remaining ingredients into the saucepan. So you will have some extra work to do if you want regular chili. And you will also need to pay twice the price. Shrink-flation sucks. And now this chili sucks.

Hormel is ripping us off. Unil recently, Hormel was the best canned chili. It was also better than some people's homemade chili. Not now. Basically this is a half can of water mixed into Hormel chili. You will need to purchase 2 cans of chili and drain out all of the extra water. And you will get something almost like the actual chili. Inflation is killing everyone. But this isn't the correct way for Hormel to fight inflation. They ruined their own chili.

At the time of making this purchase online my membership account was updated and paid After receiving my delivery from Walmart I checked my bank balance while doing so. I noticed a unauthorized transaction In the sum of $175.00 had been Much different then the $207.00 I had authorized and paid $10.00 for the speedy delivery from the store to my address. After my findings after contacting my bank. I called Walmart making them aware of unauthorized purchase made online with their name all over it This happened July 1.2026 minutes after I authorized $207 payment.Its now July 22.2026 Walmart haven't Contacted me about the matter . After calling the many times needed I have been placed on hold for a geart deal of time with Noone giving a care Not to mention the 3 time someone said hello too only get the phone hung up in my face. the 10 times . leveing me confused and questioning myself .Is this really happening Still today .The only time I hear from Walmart. When they send me Gmail ABOUT their price dropping deals I canceled my Membership Closed my account and Payment cards and more.
