Van Camp's Pork And Beans In Tomato Sauce, 5g Protein Per Serving, Canned Beans, 15 oz. Can

I need a quick lunch that'll fill me up and stay under 500 calories. Van Camp Pork and Beans is cheap and I can eat it weekly without getting sick of the flavor. The can is 455 calories and I add some saltine crackers or bread to even out the meal. Pork and beans on a basic level consists of pinto beans simmered in rendered pork fat and tomato sauce. Van Camp's comes out pretty balanced, but on the sweet side. Add a few pinches of salt and pepper to take it up a notch! My one complaint here is that you need a can opener. It's a good value at home, but might be a burden on the road.

pork and beans van camp are really good beans I have tried other brands but I believe I like this brand better if you have never tried them I would advise you to try them . I get where I like to eat them cold with fried potatoes and they're good even warm too. and a really good side dish for when you going to barbecue

Best overall in value and taste! I purchased 3 brands Van Camp's (This One), Cambell's, and Bush's Showboat. Van Camp's is the winner! Tastes great and comes in a standard 15 oz can and compared to Campbell's and showboat is cheaper by a lot. Campbell's was last on my list for taste and value and was way overpriced for the undersized can. I will be buying this one from now on!

I have used Van Camp's Pork and Beans for more than 50 years! My oldest child will be 55 years old in a couple of months! I have always preferred the taste and texture of Van Camp's over other brands. I have never gotten a bad batch! I have always served Van Camp's Pork and Beans to my family (husband and four children). The taste of the tomato sauce and the texture of the beans are excellent! I have grown to rely on this product and its consistently great taste! Thank you, Van Camp's, for creating such a wonderful product for all to enjoy!

I absolutely LOVE ❤️ pork-n-beans and Van Camp's are the best value as far as price compared to other brands. They are always fresh and depending on whether or not warmth is a must have for you, you can eat them room temperature right out the can. My favorite way to eat them is with cut up hotdogs added to them making them not only delicious but AWESOME SAUCE!

I personally eat them right out of the can or my MOM made a salad out of them she would rinse them in cold water...add some home made Tarter sauce then lot's of black pepper (large ground) we ate it with a great sandwich sandwich and good ole fried fish n homemade fries n white bread n fresh white onion...mmmmm

I chose the microwaveable type of container over the metal can. What I found was I like it better cold or room temperature! But I still have the option. I had to special order this type of because Walmart tried to make a decision for me by limiting what was available on the shelf . The metal can works too but in the end it was my decision that prevailed

The beans were good, but in comparing the amount of beans in the can to my memory of pork %26 beans from this company, the recent cans have about an inch of fluid on top of the beans, where the cans in past years were full of beans to the top of the can. Just another instance of the customer being ripped off by shrink flation.

it doesn't have the original flavor of the pork and beans I remember as a child, there's not enough juice leaving the beans tasting dryer then normal and there wasn't any bits of pork in the can at all. My overall view of this was not the best product for the money I would have been happier buying and making my own from scratch. a very disappointing product for me.

Walmart apparently uses independent contractors to deliver small orders. My order came with one can so badly dented that I had to discard it. It looked as though the delivery person either dropped the plastic bag used for delivery or just threw it on the porch. Fortunately an aerosol can in the package was not damaged. I expected my order to come via a Walmart vehicle - not someone who doesn't care about the condition of items received.
