I've been eating these canned potatoes since I was a kid. Mom and/or Dad would add a tablespoon of bacon fat to a skillet, slice the potatoes, salt, pepper, and add them to the hot bacon grease until the edges get crispy. We always added an "over-easy" egg, two strips of bacon, and a slice of buttered toast. And, if we were out of red or russet potatoes, we also used the canned whole potatoes in a big pot of green beans and ham/bacon.
I love potatoes but don's always have the time to prepare and cook them. Then, I found this can! My life has forever changed! I can eat potatoes without during all the work? I love Del Monte! Thank you!
I have rheumatoid arthritis as well as carpal tunnel. it is very hard for me to peel potatoes. so having the ability and the convenience of the canned potatoes, can make a meal better
This is a good product. I was not disappointed.
Due to arthritis I can't do the peeling for potatoes so these cans make just the right amount for two
Good price, good flavor and very convenient for a quick meal. I use them in stews, soups and casseroles.
I really enjoy these potatoes especially when cooked with a roast in the oven they Brown up nicely get a little bit crispy on the bottom and just taste so delicious
very good for quick recipes
love these to go in crock pot when cooking meats
I like this brand, however, the best by date is February 2026. It is now May 27th. I realize that canned goods can be used past the best by date, but I'm not too comfortable with this. The last time I contacted Walmart about an issue (items delivered that weren't mine), i just ended up going in circles and finally gave up. This was a cheap item, so didn't contact them.
