You can find the large cans of the White, and Mexican style Hominy practically everywhere, but Golden Hominy is hard to find? I absolutely don't understand this because in every survey I've read on which is the most preferred of the 3 styles, Golden Hominy consistently came out the winner. It has a much sweeter/milder taste and a more tender texture. I use it when I make Pozole', and everyone who has had my Pozole' knows that it is the best they ever had! I was so happy when I found it at Walmart, and at a price cut! Thank you, Walmart. You really came through!

Good product at a very reasonable price; can be made into a simple casserole; brown ground beef, drain hominy and add to burger; add tomato sauce; season with garlic or onion powder if you choose. Even better on the second day. Another way is to just warm up hominy, drained, and add butter and season to taste. Great shelf product.

Bush's golden hominy is the best. I grew up eating this. It is similar to corn but it is crunchier. It has a very good taste and texture. Try it you just might like it.

My soup needed something more for color and heftiness, the whole can didn't make it to the soup. My grandmother would saute hominy in a little brown butter and add black pepper at the end, so good.

I usually prefer the white hominy, but the Walmart making my deliveries does not stock white hominy, only yellow hominy. I realize it is purely a visual preference for my recipes, but it would be nice to have the option to choose.

The item itself lives up to expectation when delivered in good condition. Unfortunately, yet again, 3 of the 6 cans ordered were damaged and not fit for consumption. When will the company stop selling damaged cans to their customers??? This happens often in the orders I receive and from multiple stores. This tells me that the issue is systemic.

The hominy was mashed up and mushy. Hominy in my opinion should be individual kernels. Taste of course was rather watery.

I have never stated something so horrible and it comes with a course texture, salty taste and taste nothing like corn. I usually use the bag hominy corn and put it to soak.
