Bush's Large Butter Beans Beans, Canned Butter Beans, 16 oz Can

I love these beans, so tasty, they can be an entire meal, they taste great even cold. No seasonings required. I lived in Florida for 30 years, we had hurricanes all the time, and had to find foods that did not need cooking or refrigeration, some times for weeks at a time with no electric, I would buy these beans, and it was my entire meal a lot of days. I still buy them for a treat, no actual cooking, involved. Will always buy them! If you like beans, you will love these !

Served these on a charcuterie platter with Kalamata olives, a block of asiago cheese, sliced pepperoncini peppers, goat cheese and real Italian dry salami. On the side….freshly sliced French sourdough bread and rosemary focaccia bread from the Arizona Bread Company with fig jam and whipped butter on the side. I seasoned these delicious BUTTER BEANS with finely minced garlic, finely chopped basil, a small amount of grated red onion, ground cumin, pink salt and ground pepper. I drained the liquid from the beans first.

I prefer many of the Bush's brand products. They've been around for as long as I can remember and I trust their can bean varieties. One day I purchased some butter beans from a different store and a different brans, they were terrible. With Bush's brand butter beans you get nice firm yet soft tasty butter beans. Few if any skins are floating in the product....normally one or none. I like to heat the butter beans until they are very hot, pour in a bowl, add pepper, and a little scallions/onions on the side along with some oyster crackers. I can make a meal out of them almost like one would eat soup. Of course, they make a great family side dish.

I found out Butter Beans are the same plant as Lima Beans, and they are usually just picked at different stages of maturity. So, it all came down to taste and texture to me. In my opinion, Bush's Butter Beans have very little flavor and too soft of a texture. This item is nothing like their other beans that are loaded with flavor.

Do not order canned goods from WALMART.. More often than not the cans are ALWAYS DENTED and always at the bottom or top rim.. Employees just grab a can or cans without looking at them for dents.. it's easy to check, but they simply don't care..best to get canned goods at another store..if there was a zero star, I would do that..

I don't understand every time I order Margaret Holmes butter beans they always send me these cans of bush butter beans I haven't opened one of the cans yet and I've been ordering Margaret butter beans for at least five to six months so tomorrow I will make a phone call so y'all can get your Busch butter beans bag and I need a full retail for all these cans y'all keep sending me that I don't want

I only received 2 of the 5 I asked for which was butter beans. Not only that my cans was damaged.
