Libby's Canned French Style Green Beans, 14.5 oz

Some "off brands" are not very thorough in their quality control. Nothing kills my appetite faster on green beans is to find a "woody/stem" in a bite...I know it's a "me" thing...I have issues with certain "textures " and that is one. Libby does a good job!

according to my family these beans make the best tasting Green Bean Casserole. I do not appreciate the green beans so my very critical family give them a thumbs up, so they must be good,

They are good! I rinse mine very well to remove any sodium. Heat in a microwave dish with a little water and butter.

This was a substitute for my CUT beans, I hate French cut beans, but if you like them, I am sure they are great.

String beans are evenly cut, same in color , no stems. Tasty and served cold with oil, vinegar and seasonings.

Always used Libby's. Canned green beans are just that canned

I have always bought canned French Green Beans from whatever brand was on sale at the time. Libby's has been around forever and they were a little less expensive, so I thought I would give them a try. I feel all canned French cut green beans are a bit mushy and it's a lot of broken beans. These ones though, I was happy to find was better than the other brands. There were more whole beans (you still have to be careful draining) and less of those hard stringy things you get in there. Canned green beans will always be what they are (my reasoning for only 4 stars), but I like the quality, taste and price of these the best.

it was very tasty but I ate it as. is.i recommend that folks eat it with roast beef or something similar

I have never liked canned vegetables. They're mushy with hardly any flavor. I purchased them because the fresh vegetables were worse.
