Hormel is the best tasking and excellent quality. I use a lot of bacon bits in my cooking, on salads, snacks, I even put a little sprinkle on my dogs food. So I need these big 20 oz. bags they are the best value. The only problem is I have to order them, the store does not carry them. But that's ok as long as I can get them. Very highly recommend! 5 STARS**********

I was looking for this in the store. It was unavailable so I had to order it online. The great thing about is bacon. There's no fat in it. Hormel squeezes every ounce of fat and lard out of of these bacon bits so that's very lean. It's actually better than the great value a little bit more money but much better quality.

These bacon pieces are ideal for my family on salads, in grits, on baked potatoes, in mac and cheese, and probably some other ways I don't remember right now. No, not crunchy or for snacking, but they're better than a saltier, crunchier, famous brand I always used in the past. The big bag is really handy, too.

I used to get this at Sam's Club then they replaced it with a crappy branded house name. found it Walmart before covid at Christmas time, but then it disappeared, now it available SOMETIMES in the store, but as a rule it's only available online (go-figure). It's perfect fore southern style cooking seasoning, salad topping and just about anything I can think of.

It's great, love not having to make my own bacon crumbles. You'd be amazed at how many things I've added them to, it's just so easy to do! A lot more meat and less fat than other brands. The price has gone up tho, so we don't buy it as often as we did. But it's definitely yummy!

Many cheaper brands don't fully cook the bacon, so you're essentially paying for excess fat (around 25% of the total weight, in my estimation). The slightly higher price of Hormel is worth double the cost because you don't have to re-cook it to remove the fat, saving paper towels and energy.

The smokey flavor adds flavor to baked beans, omelets, potato salad and more. I get lots of compliments on my baked beans when I bring baked beans to potlucks. They add a nice bacon flavor because they are made with meat instead of something that is not meat. They are a nice touch to salads, you can snack on a few but they can be salty.

I've used this version of Hormel bacon for years and it's usually great! I love the flavor, convenience and value as compared to smaller bottles. Of late, I have noticed that the pieces are bigger which is fine. However, I've also noticed more pieces of chewy fat in the product, of which I'm definitely no fan! Yuck!

This is not seller specific. The pieces are too tiny and sometimes too cooked/burnt. When done right worth the price. we never have a guarantee of whether these are seconds or first batch of excellant quality. be aware that marketing will get rid of product any way they can.

Out of 6 bags ordered (07-16-25 to 07-28-25), half of them had about eight 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 inch clumps of bacon stuck together with white grease/contamination. At the bottom of the bag, there was a 1 inch thick by 6 inch diameter clump of grease/contamination. (See Photos.) I reported problem to Hormel Foods-Lead Consumer Engagement Specialist and she didn't seem concerned or willing to replace the bags or refund. FYI, I had an ER visit late one night in time frame using these for abdomen pain!
