I can only recommend based upon reputation and willingness to accept my returning it for a full refund due to no longer deciding to pursue plant propagating any longer. however I would recommend this product and repurchase it if I were to change my mind based upon personal difficulties experienced without using it. Based upon my personal researching I am convinced this would be a good Value for the money and suggest purchasing it as a better choice than all DYI's I tried.

there's nothing I dislike about the clone powder and being that it's the strongest rooting harmone so you can root any plant with ease. just sterilize everything

Great product!

Annie March 5, 2025

This rooting hormone is really easy to use! I just got it a week ago, but already I am seeing small hair-like roots appearing on the cuttings that I rooted. I also like that this brand has choises (numbers) based on what type of plant you wish to root.

Best propagation powder I've used

Handyman June 15, 2025

I've used all three types of powder they all work wonderful. Just follow the propagation instructions for your type plant. keep a close eye on your cutting and make sure that they're moist when they're necessary don't let it dry up and die they will root.

HORTEX IS A SOLID PRODUCT!

CR July 1, 2025

For 20 years I used Rootone rooting powder but it's off the market. All of the people I know in various hibiscus groups recommend Hortex. I'm happy to say that it's a solid product!

You probably don't need this one. For trees only.

E October 31, 2025

You don't need this one. Get the other ones unless you're layer propagating a tree. Seriously this is too strong for your plants and will hinder success.

Cheaper than buying plants

Jo October 27, 2024

I picked up Hormex 16 because I've heard it actually works for propagating plants; my uncle has been using rooting hormone to root his fig cuttings and has had success. I can't wait to get started when I prune my fuyu persimmon and fig trees this season as I've been aching to buy more fruit trees and this rooting hormone will enable me to expand my orchard at a much lower cost than buying additional trees!

Elizabeth June 10, 2026

So I tried to root a rose because everything is true on YouTube, right? I used honey on the cut end and the rooting hormone and opted for dirt instead of the potato (Because that's just stupid, right? I don't want to smell rotting potato, right?). So far, the rose twigs haven't died. It's holding the little shower cap up to keep the moisture in. I'll keep watching to see if this actually works. My plants are unpredictable sometimes.
