Hot Wheels ID Race Portal with Connected Platform App

We bought this for our grandson's birthday. He really loved it. The cars fascinated him and he was very excited about playing with it. He was pleased with the present and told me several times how much he liked it.

Awesome toy, easy connect to iPad. The cars are easy to scan. Gave it to my 9 year old son, played with it for hours with Dad and Grandad and even my youngest son wanted to play. Definitely recommend to other people.

My son loves hot wheels and loved the two cars which came with it. However didn't explain fully what the product does and instructions wasnt very helpful. We had to figure it out ourselves.

I like the items packaging as it's very compact and easy to store. The portal and app is surprisingly easy to set up and once the vehicles are scan they connect very quickly. The track system is easy to assemble so no long waiting times before the toy can be used. While the toy does require digital technology, it is very interactive and encourages interaction and cooperative play amongst children. The cars are robust and well made. The only downside is the track had to be purchased separately.

The Hotwheels toy was fun, well made- the all super cool- but only held the boys attention for a few min as it needed an app to operate( so they needed my phone or their own ) The kids held in there for a few minutes- but were distracted by other apps , texts, music and ended up having more fun just listing to music and driving the cars around on the carpet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Received the product for my eight year old. He really loved setting up. We did receive tracks with it but we have so many already we added alot to our track. My son loved setting up the app but quickly lost interest in the Race Portal. I uploaded on my phone and then it turned into he just wanted to have my phone all the time. This turned into a battle because I am trying to have him off the electronics. I recommend if you dont mind alot of playtime on the phone. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Selling a product that is discontinued and no longer supported by the app is a joke and a rip off you should've seen that look on my son‘s face when he opened it up Christmas morning and could not play with it because it is discontinued and is required the app to functionShame on you Mattel!
