If one has an expensive cutting board one should keep it oiled! So for close to twenty years I have done that. And you know what it still looks like new! My favorite oil is Howard BBB012. I was so glad to see that it was available through Walmart. Just put a small amount on a paper towel and then wipe on cutting board. Simple but so effective! Tips from Theresa.
This is a good grade product which is required for treating a wooden cutting board. I have a large and thick wooden cutting board that was very dried out and in dire need of conditioning. The thickness of the board is a determining factor for how many treatments are needed for a thorough conditioning of it. My board is approximately 2” thick and I treated it four times and allowed approximately 24 hours between each treatment. It turned out great. Even though my board is large and thick, I still have approximately 80% or more of this product left. Walmart also sells a board wax frim this same company and I am thinking about buying it also.
I just wonder why I waited so long to buy this. The entire Howard line of products for wood is fantastic.
I use this on my cutting board surfaced island and other cutting board. It's easy to apply and works well and keeps everything looking good and not cracking.
Received a cutting board for Christmas and bought this oil. Found the best deal at WalMart and it was shipped and received quickly. Recommend this oil.
Great product for butcher blocks.
Works very well on cutting boards
It definitely gets the grime off the cabinets
This was very easy to apply and seems to be working well on my new bamboo cutting board. I applied 4 coats 5 weeks ago and use/clean the board daily.
Completely orderless, which is good, but very thin. It works, but I believe it will need to be done quite often compared to a beewax-based cutting board conditioner that I have used in the past
