HP 15.6" Pentium 4GB/128GB Laptop-Scarlet Red

I received this computer a few weeks ago and have used it everyday since then! It comes in a box with the computer and a charging cable. I have been wanting a personal laptop for quite sometime, but didn't know what kind would be the most useful to me. This HP has met every one of my needs. It has a 15.6 inch screen and comes standard with an HDMI and a USB-C port as well as an ethernet port. On the right side it has two USB ports and a SD memory card slot. I have mainly used this computer to check emails and play on the internet, but most recently I downloaded a flight simulator game to it. I was a little worried that it might run slow, since this is not a "gaming laptop" but i have had no issues with latency or glitches using the flight simulator. I haven't had time to use all the features it offers yet, but it comes already loaded with Microsoft Edge as well as your standard office applications such as excel and word and many others. It is very simple to set up and as soon as you turn it on, it "walks" you thru the set up. I think the setup took about 5 minutes to complete but I found it helpful as it shows you some of the things that you might not otherwise have known about. I would definitely recommend this computer for anyone who wants a good reliable high speed computer to use at home.

most of the people giving bad reviews are inexperienced and impatient.. ive had this laptop before bought it from walmart as well and bought a new one because i have away my old one.. arrived perfectly fine undamaged .. yes the setup takes a while and you must be patient.. mine took a little over 2 hours .. also upon start up the first 10 minuted are a little laggy but thats a given with any electronic these days … after that smooth sailing.. its has tons of storage and is easy to use overall a great laptop for gaming and office work. ps: charge it before you try and turn it on becuase it is dead also when using it make sure not to cover the bottom of your laptop with a completely flat surface because it will overheat try using a breathable surface or prop it up so the bottom of the laptop has airflow.. this is just how laptops are its not just this latop itself .. this laptop is practically indestructible just dont go throwing it around on purpose.. ive dropped and stepped on it more than once (not tooo roughly) and it was perfectly fine .. this laptop is mostly suitable for an adult though..

I got it for approximately 296.00 when i first purchased (obvi. prices fluctuate) but the point id for the [rice, it is a very nice laptop. The specs are not great for gaming or even for heavy programs but for schooling and youtube, everything works just fine. If need further details just look up the specs on this laptop on a nerd-site. Sometimes descriptions can be funny but this is honestly a p. good laptop! Also, yes the laptop should match the image as mine does and yours should as well.

For the size and memory capacity it's a very solid deal. Have operated it for 3 weeks now and have yet to come across any issue. Keyboard is laid out nicely, has a keypad which not all do. Keys respond well and spaced out well. If you're looking for a functional laptop at a decent price this is one of your better options. Mainly will be used for web surfing, YouTube, and other minor functions, so if you need something with alot more computing power you will have to look elsewhere and spend more money.

My son is very happy with this computer! It has a great battery life - which means that even when he leaves it unplugged for hours - it still works! Additionally, it charged quite quickly. The camera and microphone work great and have been used a lot with online school these days. And, it's very lightweight and fits easily into his backpack - which will be fantastic when school resumes.

Super nice laptop. Very nice color and feel, I had it for a week and already scratched the top so i would be careful of that. I like the color very deep red very young and modern. very lightweight and thin so very easy for on the go. Perfect for a personal computer, just enough hard drive space and GB wouldn't use for a gaming computer but perfect for personal around the home. I stream and download music also browse the web and my social media sites. Very quick to load up pages, kind of slow to turn on takes a bit to get going. Runs on windows 10 which was easy for me because i use it for work, but very easy to get the hang of. My husband who hasn't used Windows 10 seems to be using it very easily. The battery last a while which is good and it charges very quickly. The sound and speakers are very good when watching videos or listening to music you can hear the sound very clearly and loud. The camera has a very clear picture and very simple to use. Overall a very great Laptop would recommend.  

We bought this for the low price, color (Go Buckeyes), screen size and memory capacity. We don't use it for gaming other than FB games. It's mostly used for FB and email and information searches so it work great for us. The speed is so much better than the our last lap top and compares with our HP I5 desk top units.

I received the HP 15.6 PENTIUM 4GB/128GB LAPTOP-SCARLET RED and have not put it away since I've gotten it. This laptop really came at the right time. My netbook disappeared with the kids and distance learning. I was having to finish my day at night, waiting for someone to be done with a device. Not anymore, my days have been so much more productive and I have my own with no stickiness to it. Setting up the laptop was super easy and the charges are always super quick. I will say it is very rugged and isn't made of "porcelain" like others. The screen is huge and I love that there is a full keyboard with number pad. My only suggestion would be darker letters in the keys as sometimes there is a glare and you can't see the letters on it. Not so much a problem for me since when I type I dont look, but the kids have played with me they can't find the letters. Only because the keys are not backlit. The keys are very smooth when typing, though. The connection is super fast and I actually love the fact that you can completely connect your phone to the laptop and have both my world at my fingertips. Pictures, message, phone calls flow effortlessly between the two. The laptop found the printer right away and I love that I am able to connect to all of my TV's. Mirroring the image on a larger screen (the tv the kids love) has actually helped the distance learning and I am able to "conduct" class with my two 3rd graders. They say it's just like the projector at school. The laptop has now become my 3rd arm and it goes everywhere with me. My productivity is through the roof and I am able to finish my work soon or too and am able to join the family more (and sleep) not having to wait at night for a device. I dont know what I would do without it.

I thought all these negative reviews had to be exaggerating because there are so many positive but it's really not a fast computer. I even upgraded my internet thinking maybe it was my plan. It takes forever to start up and then it's freezing and slow loading the entire time. I needed it for my kids zoom and school stuff and they could not use it from how bad it lags when using apps on it. we don't even touch it anymore, don't be deceived by the pretty looks. If all you need to do is bad web browsing with no videos or apps then get it. One thing to note is the screen looks dull like an old computer, no vibrant colors and screen looks pixelated.

Loved the laptop purchased for online schooling. Worked for little over 3 months and then one day I turned it on for class, it started downloading an HP update and now it won't power on and display screen is completely black and blank. So disappointed and angry and now have to spend several hundreds of dollars to buy a new computer so I can continue classes.
