The printer is great- I could only hook it up to 2.4 and not to 5G but it is all that I need. I am trying to find customer support because I also purchased the two ink catcher recommended, but they do not work for me. I followed the instructions given about “chips” and it would not print. I'd like to get a refund for those. Thank you.
So far it has worked without any issues. I had to plug it into the computer because I couldn't figure out how to use it remotely. Otherwise it is easy to use and to put in the toner cartridge. I haven't had it long enough to use up a cartride, so I don't know how long it will last.
This printer is excellent. It is a space saver and not a huge hog of a printer. It doesn't seem as big and heavy duty as others in the past, but that is not a deal breaker as you are not playing football with it. The print quality is very good and consistent. The wireless function is very handy and setup was easy. The scanning is easy as well. The toner is small and cute and not a big messy threat to the environment. I would highly recommend this printer.
Needed a small thermal, laser printer to sit in a specific spot on my desk and very happy with this little rig, easy to hook up %26 Wi-Fi. Printing works great from my phone almost 40 feet away sitting at my kitchen table.
I got conflicting with my old HP LJ 31W that I had a third party ink. So I had to return. The new ink quite expensive however compared with the HPLJ 31W. Otherwise it worked great.
Not the easiest to set up even with the app HP Smart, if it wasn't for Google search I would never have found the passphrase for the printer to work. Nice and compact and prints well.
The printer itself is quality and does a very clean job of printing, scanning, and copying. I was satisfied with all of the usual aspects. Not a fan of the chipped toner cartridge and the requirement to replace the toner with HP cartridges only. Nor, am I fan at all of the HP Smart software. If you buy this printer, do yourself a favor and download and install the Full Feature Driver Package from HP and plan to use a USB cable for installation (only). It makes the whole process much simpler. And if you have multiple networks showing up during installation to choose from, make certain to choose the 2.4 GHz network. The printer won't work on a 5 GHz network.
Computer found the printer immediately . That lasted all of about a minute. Never found it again. I tried turning off all vpn, and opening up firewall parameters! Nothing would work. I'm done with HP. This is my second HP to return!! I needed printer so bad. Had to take to UPS and pay over $6.00 to make one copy!! Thanks HP
The printer was cheap. But it wasn't thought through before HP put it on the market. First of all, the toner costs over $60.00!!! That's half the price, almost of the printer itself. This is HIGHWAY ROBBERY, HP. Poor people like me on a fixed income can't afford 1/2 the price of the printer in the toner!! Where is your humanity? Your thoughtfulness that maybe not everyone can afford your toner? Secondly, there is an invention error by you folks. When I want to print a page on my 8 1/2 x 11 piece of laser paper? The thing CURLS BACK ON ITSELF and if you don't catch it in time, it RE-ROLLS through the machine again with print of another page over the original print!!!! What gives, inventors? This is crap. I have to sit here and literally "snatch" each page that was printed before it curls back INTO THE PRINTER and gets printed by the next piece of paper....so it's overwritten and it's useless. If I don't sit here and grab each piece of paper first (which is ridiculous....why didn't you fix this???!!!), in it goes a second or third time. It's "ease of use" sucks to put it bluntly. I guess you'd like this machine if you can pay $60.00 or so for the toner and you like sitting in front of it snatching swiftly, the paper that's curling and catch it before it goes through the print process a second time. HP usually makes decent well-thought of and thought out how it can be easy on the user. In this case? It's none of the above.....shame on you HP. You can do better than this.
I tried getting it to work. It doesn't work. I don't know if it's the batteries or me. I ordered new batteries today gonna try it that way. I'll let you know Mary Garcia.
