HP Smart Tank 5102 Wireless All-in-One Cartridge-Free Ink Tank Printer, 2 Yrs Ink Incl, Surf Blue

Absolutely wonderful. I don't know how I managed before. Am using mine nearly everyday to print this and that. Can thouroughly reccomend and in just a short while very proficient in use. Just one thing to learn, and that's getting the printer to use the whole sheet instead of downward column on left side over Wi-fi!

This printer can be annoying to set up, is difficult to network to your wifi, and quite often it will take a long break where you can't get it to wake up. That being said, once you get it set up right, it works very well. Ok, so it still falls asleep and doesn't wake up easily, that's pretty irritating. But if you remember the 90s and how we had to troubleshoot everything on the fly, fixing most problems with this printer is a snap. Unplug that thing and plug it back in when it gets all stupid on you. It's not a Nintendo, so no need to swab it with alcohol or blow into it. Just unplug it. Works. Oh, yeah, btw, if you get this printer you'll be so glad you don't have to buy cartridges or pay instant ink that you won't even mind the fact that it doesn't do automatic 2-sided printing.

This printer has SO many connectivity issues! I normally love HP printers and I've had several wireless ones over the years. I got this because of the refillable tanks and wanted to love it, but the connectivity problems make it a nightmare. First it can only connect to a 2.4 GHz network, which I don't love, but I have one setup for some of my other smart devices so I gave it a try. Even tho I had it connected to a 2.4 GHz network, it would only print half of the time from my devices. The only way to print consistently is from the HP smart option when printing. That being said, the print quality is great, but I'm returning because it's too annoying

Sometimes gets a lot of time to print and it doesn’t do it well. It also resets by itself.

Extremely difficult to set up. The included instructions are useless. The instructions make statements like "Fill the ink tanks." But, they do not tell you where they are, how to attach the ink bottles, or how to stop the filling once started. I figured all of that out, then the printer kept losing the wifi signal and the HP software would say it was offline. I gave up, and returned the printer for a refund.

I could never get it to print. HP wanted me to sign up for a "free support" trial membership before they would help me. Ok. When I went to sign up for it, my bank flagged the attempt as fraud because so many of their customers had disputed the charge due to poor service and $48/month fees. They did nothing for me. HP Smart 5100 printer was extremely problematic to install. It took days it still is very very slow accessing documents to print. Would never buy again.

The printer made a loud noise almost from day one, but I thought that was just the way it sounded with a paper feed. Since I’ve had it I probably haven’t used it a total of three weeks and I got it last I believe November October. Contacted HP Several times and they were unable to help me contacted them again today because I want replacement or my money back and they want me to hook it up and go through their troubleshooting crap again and I’ve been doing that for months. Bought me a cannon so I’m really over HP

I followed every step by the word, I am now a week post install with no working printer. When I try to call HP, I get bounced around from person to person and nobody listens to me, they just give me templated responses that don't correlate to what the problem is. It is a nightmare every time I call or chat HP. Always has been but I have my home office connected to them so I begrudgingly decided to stay with them for this purchase and it has been terrible. Could not have come at a worse time because the reason I purchased this was for important documents that needed printing by a timeline for new clients and new staff. I had to hook our old printer back up which also was not user friendly. Also, it boasts that you will get 2 years of free ink and this is not the case, it is the ink that is in the box, there are no instant ink deliveries with this model. Terrible purchase. Also, we had already thrown the box out, so now I am stuck with this awful purchase and it doesn't even work.

Purchased HP printer through Walmart but has warranty through HP. The printer was new but never printed right %26 won't print at all now. Nothing I have had done to it. HP has no way of contacting them and Walmart doesn't answer their phone to see how I can get this fixed. This is under warranty but HP doesn't even talk to you. I want my printer either fixed or my money back to cover the purchase of a new printer.
