Humminbird 1' Ethernet Adapter Cable

Got this to connect a new Helix 12 to my dash unit. Really pleased Johnson Outdoors had them in stock.

Right cable the first time

Price was on par with the best I could find, shipping was 1 day earlier then stated at check out so on that side was very good. Bad was the fact the cable was the root cause of why I couldn't see the Terrova TM at the Humminbird due to a short in the cable. Had to go with my gut after pulling out the power cable (thankfully I hadn't wire tied it to the fuse box yet) and bypass the 30 ft ethernet cable that came with the trolling motor to make sure that wasn't the problem. Only other issues could be the terrova wiring, 899 head unit or this connector. Boat dealer had the cable in stock and after purchasing worked like a champ. Returning this cheaper cable to Walmart due to defective cable which isn't walmart fault but because they don't stock this item I had to find another source to get me in the water fishing as walmart.com would have been another 4 day delay and that delay to possibly find out it wasn't the 1 ft cable. About 3k in equipment and a 20 dollar cable (cost 1 buck to assemble/mfg I'm sure) keeps it all from working correctly. BTW if you have a similar set-up go to myhumminbird page after you register your ILINK (Separate Ser# for the ILINK vs the TM) and update the handheld, TM and Humminbird with the latest firmware. Set to defaults prior to updating to avoid any setting issues. Worked great once the cable was swapped out. I wish they made this in a slightly longer size as well. My Ram mount puts this cable connector just after the wiring hole under the console. 6" or 1.5 ft would have been better and the 30 ft ethernet cable comes with the terrova Ilink package which of course I only need about 10-15 feet but rolled in bow works fine. Ever goes bad I will replace with a shorter cable.
