Husky 4 mL Polyethylene Black Plastic Sheeting, 8' x 100'

Finding good-quality 4 mL black poly sheeting in 6-foot wide 100-foot long rolls is not difficult. Finding it at a price I was willing to pay and NOT have to pay shipping was very difficult until Walmart popped up in the search engine. We (my wife of nearly 50 years and I) have found only about 3 products provided through Walmart that have been unsuitable. Most products are as good or better than "brand name" products and usually for considerably less. Whether living on a retirement income or in these depressing financial times, shopping at Walmart has made a valuable difference. This product just another good example!

I purchased this sheeting to use as a protective barrier under insulation I was installing under my house. The 12' length matches up perfect with the joist, and the thickness is the same as the sheeting in the insulation department at Lowe's, but at a little over half the price. There are other great uses for this sheeting, but I bought it for this purpose and I am doing this review on how it suited that task. Three months have pasts since the installation and all is great.

Using as a ground cloth on concrete for an addition to our home

This isn't a complicated product. I bought it to cover grass during the transition to non-grass landscaping. I would not use pick-up-in-store again. It's usually just the product that "you get what you pay for" applies, but in this case it was the service. I'll gladly pay extra, a lot extra, to avoid that in-store pick-up situation.

Not a lot of elaboration here - it's plastic. Black plastic. Great for Haunted houses.

I bought this strictly for "Slip 'n Slide" purposes. You can buy 20 feet of actual slip n' slide name brand for about the same price as 100 feet of this. This is 4 mil thickness and the plastic they use for slip n' slide is slightly thicker, so this doesn't go as fast and is slightly less durable. However, a few squirts of dish soap lubes it up quite well to add the speed. And as far as the durability factor goes...well...a 7 year old will tear up a real slip n' slide just as fast as this anyway. So you might as well just go for the longer option.

I used this to make a planetarium, as an envelop for kids to go through. It is supposed to be 4 mil thick, so would normally work fine. It looked like it was laid out on rough concrete and rolled over with a roller. Very rough texture, which made it look as though there were holes in it as you could see light through it in spots. It would work fine for landscaping or as a weather barrier, but not for something to keep light out.
