Truthfully, I took it back for two reasons. I'm kinda strapped this month for money. More importantly, I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered this. An electric saw? I'm not safe with my hedge trimmers. So many scenarios crossed my mind. Everything from a dead limb dropping on my head to cutting off something from myself instead of the tree. It certainly looks like a great tool though and I returned it feeling kinda sad 😢
Stronger and works better than I expected. I'd buy it again.. The handle tightener is based on a plastic ratchet. But has been working so far, as I have removed 2 dead limbs and cut up most brances with it so far.
The little pole saw is for sure super tough, I put it right to work cutting a old dead tree down before the wind got a chance to blow down into the side of our house.
It was easy to put together, but I thought when I ordered this that the saw part was removable from the pole part. The plastic parts, where the pole expands, have already broken, so I've had to duct tape it back together. But then an idiot claimed that someone (other than him) dropped it. But there was no one else around.
Have not had chance to test saw, but packaging looks like it was a used/return item and no manual in the box, which I'm sure a chainsaw of any type would include a manual.
First, the box had been opened before, so it should have been sold as open-box, not as a regular new item. Second, I'm sure the saw is as good as other reviewers said, but it requires assembly, and the instructions are mediocre. Probably fine for some one who has dealt with a chain saw before, but not for a first-timer. The steps were easy enough to understand, but the drawings were not close-up or photo qualiity, so when I had completed all the steps I was not confident it was assembled, tightened, etc. well enough to be safe, so I returned it.
i have several hyper tough tools, for the money they do the work and last longer than i expected but this pole saw i couldn't put it together, the chain and the spade wouldn't fit, tried many times finally returned. i didn't buy another one yet
I had a hard time adjusting the chain, it was eather too tight or too loose. it would jump off constantly. I spent have my time putting the blade back on taking the adjuster off pulling any stick or twig out of the cover. from day one this was a issue. i returned it only after a few days . I live in the mountain and the fire dept gave me notice to trim or remove a couple of bushes. with the saw failing i had to order something else. it is also VERY top heavy i never got a chance to extend it. it is over twice the weight of my old one. i have had for years. this is a plug in model not a battery offerated one. im getting up in age and not a twenty year old to wrestle with the dang thing. Walmart sent it to review and delayed my return. Living in the mountain i buy a LOT online.
The assembly was easy to put together - HOWEVER - attaching the chainsaw itself to the telescopic pole was a lost battle. Not only myself, but plus 5 other neighbors, one being a mechanic - the last person to try to attach the chainsaw to the pole - reason why? The Threads on the chainsaw mount does not match to the thread of the Telescopic Pole!
Package was delivered to the wrong place still looking for it. It shows to have been delivered. The picture is not a picture of my house.
