Hyper Tough 11-Piece Spade Bit Drill Bit Set with Case for Woodworking

Used the ~1inch spade bit with a Hart 12 inch extender to dig through stone and metal and it did excellent. First used a Hart titanium drill bit to make a couple holes first then finished it up with this Hyper Tough spade bit to open up what I needed to. Paired with an m18 brushless fuel impact driver, it was almost like cutting through butter, or close to it, despite these metal spade bits only being advertised for wood working. No complaints whatsoever, the bit never broke, and I have 10 more backups even if the one were to break. Paid for itself just on this one job alone as it was considerably cheaper than paying a pro to do this. Brand elitism online has sometimes veered me away from cheaper or "lesser" brands in the past, but, honestly, in irl average joe usage, I've been using mostly Hyper Tough brand things for ~10 years or so and never broke a single one yet. Great for DIY stuff around the house and shadetree mechanic stuff. Heck, I'm sure the hyper tough brand impact driver would have done great, don't think this m18 was required, but it was acquired on a can't miss online deal.

for the price that is charged for name brands today, these perform as well as those more expensive ones without the high price

Definitely worth the money.

I'd recommend spending the extra money to purchase a higher quality set. The first use, the tip bent. I only needed a couple sizes and opted for the complete set. Next time I'll purchase the ones I need from a better company.

Had a hard time cutting vinyl siding, would not cut 1/4" into the wood. 1-1/8 and 1- 1/4" bits dull dull dull. needed to use the 1/2" bit to complete the hole ! heavy duty, oiled and great size options! the 1" bits are too dull to cut plastic, smaller sizes are great!

Dull upon receipt and not very accurate sizing.
