Hyper Tough 20V Max Cordless 12 in String Trimmer, HT21-401-003-02

My second time purchasing this item and wondered why it was not doing as well as my old one but I figured it out. Change out the string it comes with. I use the Hyper Tough .080 pre-cut trimmer line refills. Works great now.

I purchased this for my mother for Christmas this year. She lives on her own and has had trouble managing her yard by herself the past few years. With this, she says it's easy to use and has great power for the price! I will be purchasing one for myself as well.

Husband wasn't thrilled that I went with this brand. He automatically wanted to take it back. I told him to just give it a try. The battery went dead quickly but that's kind normal in things like this. We bought a second battery at the same time, so it isn't a big deal He loves how well it cuts and how light it is.

I purchased this for my father to make it easier for him to do yard work and it has it no more yanking and pulling, he didn't think electric was the way to go. It's strong enough to get the job done. Did purchase an extra battery for dad's peace of mind

I don't need this for any sort of heavy duty landscaping, just my little patch of front and side yards. It works well, though I am prone to having to release the string more often, because I bump into my little wooden borders. But it works, it was super affordable, and no complaints 😊

So far so good. Have used it twice. The included battery lasted about 55 minutes, but after that long it was time for me to put the unit down. Battery charges pretty fast. My yard could be considered on the larger size, so I have purchased the 20V 4ah battery to continue trimming after a shorter break. It has been some time since I trimmed my yard so it did need some extra work this time.

I bought this to replace my worn out Black and Decker. I like that it seems a little lighter and performs exactly like the Black and Decker. My gripe is the holder for the spool is very hard to pop off!! I had to hold down the buttons and pry it off with a screwdriver. Also, the spools are small so you will probably need to replace frequently. Every time I trimmed near concrete the line would snap. Overall I would say it's ok for basic yardwork and a good price.

Charging takes a while longer than expected, but the trimmer is extremely light and easy to handle, and cuts through some pretty thick weeds and brush. I would have given it 5 stars but Walmart sent us one from the local store's clearance rack that was almost half off the online price. Walmart had no interest in refunding the difference, so we ended up paying $68 for an item priced at $38.

Can't rate this as Walmart canceled my order on the date it was to be delivered. Said it was out of stock but I can pick one up at the store for an extra $10. Always liked ordering from them but this was not right to cancel my order because they raised the price after I had ordered and had a delivery date.

I've had this weed eater for about May 2020. I have had no luck with the feed; according to the manual, the line is supposed to feed automatically when you shut the power down. It doesn't. There IS a button on the wheel housing that you can push to pull the line through manually, but I can't get it to feed out very much. The 'edger wheel' might as well not be there, it doesn't work (for me). The line that is supposed to be used is .065", so it breaks very VERY easy. I have spent more time trying to feed the line through than I care to think about. For me, I can't honestly recommend this tool, but maybe others have had more luck. If you buy it, I wish you good luck.
