So far so good. Have used it twice. The included battery lasted about 55 minutes, but after that long it was time for me to put the unit down. Battery charges pretty fast. My yard could be considered on the larger size, so I have purchased the 20V 4ah battery to continue trimming after a shorter break. It has been some time since I trimmed my yard so it did need some extra work this time.
Since I just got it, it's pretty early to review, but it arrived quickly and was easy to assemble. I took it outside to give it a test around some landscaping, and it worked great. No real bells and whistles, but is simple and gets the job done. I also appreciate that it is pretty lightweight.
So today I bought this hyper grass trimmer from Walmart. I paid only $48 to buy this wonderful product. It's very lightweight. Is it to assemble very efficient is doing an amazing job. It looks beautiful and I'm going to recommend this product to everyone out there I'm also going to tell you that this is probably the best breast trimmer currently available in the market so don't buy anything from any other company or any other store like Home Depot or Louis please buy this grass trimmer from Walmart hyper of grass trimmer cordless thank you very much and have a great day.
This is the best weed eater Ive ever owned. It's crazy versatile too. A couple of maneuvers, and it turns into a wheeled edger. The amount of power it has is truly incredible. I wanted to widen my flower beds, thought I'd neeed to use my rototiller. But nope. This tool handled it just fine. Easy peasy. This might be my best purchase this year.
I DID NOT LIKE BEING CHARGED 16.00 FOR SHIPPING WHEN I AM A MEMBER AND HAVE OVER 35.00 DOLLARS..THIS WHOLE ORDERING OF THESE 2 ITEMS WERE A NIGHTMARE, OTHER THEN THE HASSLE OF THE ORDERING THE WEED EATER IS GOOD FOR A WOMAN THAT NEEDS IT TO BE SHORTER THIS IS AND WAS GREAT !!!!
Very impressed with this weed eater. It was easy to put together when it arrived, light weight so not hard on me when im using it. Amazed just how easy it was to edge along the sidewalk, curb %26 driveway, finished in no time. It can easily cut through tall areas, using little effort. However battery life is about 30 to 35 minutes when trimming tall, thicker areas, maybe a little more battery life when cutting down other areas. Very pleased would recommend
when i started using it, it worked really well. before I bought it, i called Walmart Customer service, and i spoke with a Hyper Tough representative. Hyper Tough is made by Walmart and has no separate website, so dont let google fool you. I was told the manual they sent me for the HT19-401-003-06 was the same thing as the HT19-401-003-02 model that ibwas buying. He said they work exactly the same and that the -06 model number was just the refurbished or rebuilt version of the -02 model. The manual claimed the feed line would advance automatically and i would not have to press any buttons in order to get the feed line to come out of the spool because it wad designed specifically to sense when you need more line and feed the line out. In addition, it did say that turning the trimmer off and on to often during operation will feed the line out more quickly. i dont know if mine is defective but the HT19-401-003-06 manual they sent me and reviewed with me and assured was exactly the same as the HT19-401-003-02 model they would send me when i purchased it and they explained that the manual that comes with the -02 model just doesnt have all the information..... the representative was incorrect. the HT19-401-003-06 is not the same design functionality-wise. The trimmer does not advance when it senses on its own that it needs more line. I have even tried turning it off and back on again. the manual doesnt say and i tried many things to get it to advance out of the spool and the only thing that worked was turning it around while off and, while holding the line of the spool, repeatedly pressing the manual line feed button on the side of the spool.... and, although i was glad the wheel was there for edging, it defeated the purpose of having it if the trimmer doesn't sense that it needs more line and i am trying to edge along my drive way.... i kept having to turn it over and manually advance the line out of the spool so it would efficiently cut the edges of the grass. it does not advance the line on its own and the handle is awkward. im glad it can pivot forward and backyard, but i have arthritis and joint problems and trying to hold the trimmer and squeeze that hard hurts to intall the handle and i really wish i could scoot the entire handle down on the pole but still reserve the same pivot handle feature it has. it was difficult to clean with all the indents in the design under the shield. grass and dirt got caked inside it. i realize they put those grids under the shield to give it strength but it catches stuff and hard to clean out grids i may actually come back and change my review if anything changes but as for the good things about it: if the line is long enough, the battery does last fairly long for 2.0Ah size. the status power gauge on the battery helps while using if the line would continue to stay long enough throughout use as the representative claimed it would do without me intervening, then it would have trimmed and edged perfectly.
It worked fine for the first 2 or 3 uses, then it would run for 5 seconds and stop. If it started again, it would run for 5 seconds and stop. Thought maybe it was the battery so I ordered a new one. It did the same thing. The entire unit is cheaply made and not worth spending money on.
Strung kept getting jammed up in the reel. Wouldn't feed out. Didn't cut grass just twirled it around and frayed the ends. Battery was used up in no time flat. Then took 3-4 hours to charge. I felt like it had to coax the weeds to get cut. Did better on wet tall grass or thin dry weedies. Heavy and bulky . You can purchase separately a faster charger for 20 bucks cause you'll need it
It would not cut the grass at all, it was literally just pushing it over rather than trimming the grass/weeds. It did eventually wrap itself up with the chord getting tangled around itself. Definitely a waste of money, time and effort. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different one, or just have your old one repaired!
