My husband calls this drill a "housewife drill", and he may be right, because it's perfect for me. I am not an expert on power tools, but I am so happy to have this drill. It actually is light enough for me to use, and powerful enough to complete my DIY projects. I have used (tried) drills before, but they were really heavy, and hard for me to hold after a short time. The instructions/user manual enclosed in the box, is very thorough. I appreciate that I didn't have to go on line to find the information. I like to be as knowledgeable as possible about the products I am using, especially since I am a novice power tool person. The initial battery charge took about 6 hours (the red charger light goes off when it is fully charged), and should be charged for 3-5 hours after the first charge. The torque regulator has 15 positions, with position 15 being used for bigger screws that require more torque. I have not used a higher torque than 3 setting, but for my projects this was plenty of pressure to remove screws. Inserting the drill bit took a little work for me the first time, but after I figured out the "keyless chuck", it was quit easy to keep the drill bit in. I used this drill to take apart a bed frame, and a small shelf. The drill had plenty of power to complete both of these tasks.
There is an LED light on the base of the drill, that is so helpful. I really thought I would not benefit from a light on the drill, but trying to maneuver a small space to disassemble the bed frame, I gave it a try. Now I keep the light on whenever I am using the drill, it really does help to see the area you are drilling. For me, the rubber handle is also a big asset, it make the drill easy to grip, and stay firm while drilling.
The drill has a 2 year limited warranty.
I will highly recommend this drill to my friends.
