The StudBuddy Magnetic Stud Finder

This was just what I needed. No need to comb through the $20 stud finders, this tool makes finding the stud so much easier by identifying the metal pieces, i.e., nails and screws that are in the studs. It worked like a charm. Who knew all you needed was a strong magnet to find the wall studs?

Made a super great refrigerator magnet. Very powerful. I ordered the wrong stud locator but didn't discover that until after the product arrived and I read the label details. Not suitable for older style apartment buildings like the one I live in. Nonetheless, it makes a terrific refrigerator magnet and I can't complain too much because the price was low.

this is a staple for hanging pictures or anything. electric stud finders are nothing but unreliable. i always use this when trying to find a stud. Before this I would just use a strong magnet over a stud finder.

The StudBuddy is very easy to use, The magnets are surprisingly very strong. They will find the nails in the wall studs. Be careful with leaving any credit card near the StudBuddy. It could damage or erase the magnetic stripe.

Used this device as a strong magnet to recover my car keys that accidentally fell off a rain drain. So not only a Stud finder but can be used for multiple applications… let your creativity fly!

Works as described. We wanted to put up a mirror ourselves so we needed to make sure we weren't destroying the wall. It finds the stud and sticks exactly where it is. Made our project so easy. Simple but perfect!

This stud finder is a must if you are hanging anything on the wall. Makes finding the wall studs very easy. The magnet finds the drywall nails and stays there while you hang your shelves or artwork. Genious! Wouldn't be without one.

The simplest, practical, and downright basic home necessity you will need to purchase for finding studs! I was flabbergasted by how efficient a strong magnet can be. I wish I had bought it years ago! We will never buy an expensive stud finder again. None of the others are more efficient. Easy to use, take it out of the pack place it on the wall, move along the wall horizontally, and BAM! You will find the stud nail.

The StudBuddy Magnetic Stud Finder is an amazing device and works brilliantly! I've had such hit or miss luck with electronic stud finders over the years because they measure wall density instead of locating the stud, so you get mixed results. But the Stud Buddy is accurate and SO easy to use. The most important note, which Stud Buddy advertises very clearly, is this devices only works on walls with drywall. If you have plaster walls or another material it won't work. To use it you just loosely hold the Stud Buddy against the wall and glide it sideways and when it finds a stud it sticks magnetically. It even moves itself to the dead center of the stud which is why it's so brilliant. You also then have your hands free to mark or use your hammer & nail, or screwdriver & screw, etc. This is such a great product because it works so well and is at an incredibly affordable price. It is rather small, maybe 5" long, so it could be easy to misplace, but it's so affordable you should just buy 2! I highly recommend the Stud Buddy!
